That's a nice little radio. I like the looks of the Yofits YF-39 that recently popped up on Amazon. The one feature I don't care for is the sealed batteries a lot of these new radios come with. The batteries can be replaced but you have to dismantle them to do so. I guess it's to much to ask to have easily replaceable and rechargeable batteries.

I think it's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask. If nothing else, what really grinds my gears are products advertised as "green" because they are "rechargeable"... without mentioning they are also disposable.

I just bought this radio as a substitute for my Retekess v115, which, although makes for a good outside radio, sounds like a demented motorcycle in my ears. Hopefully this will sound better.

Hej Todderbert thanks for the review of the Raddy RF-886 a interesting pocket radio maybe i pick up this pocket radio and yes i do love pocket radios but, I have the lovely XHDATA and also the radiowow R-108 the older model. But i agree with you it would have been nice if the Raddy RF-886 had been equipped with, a replaceable battery so yes like you say a upgraded Raddy RF-886 with rechargeable battery would be nice to see. But otherwise i think the low-cost Raddy RF-886 seams very nice have a nice day Todderbert and take care.

I have mine for a month, nice sound in FM, i’ve compared AM with my analogue radios, strangely this DSP onboard takes maximum of a signal, stable and loud, for that price looks nice. Definitely it’s not a headphones optimized radio, but a speaker one.

You should do a review of Sangean HDR-19 and compare against the HDR-16 you have already reviewed in the past.

The battery doesn't look replaceable. How long does it last? Does the clock run down the battery while the radio is off? I went to look at the listing on Amazon, and other than "Rechargeable Li-ion Battery 1200mAh/3.7V" no further info was available. I am always leery of flashlights, and sirens on radios. They seem gimmicky... The 25Khz VHF stepping kind of sucks. While this radio isn't for the serious radio enthusiast, it is at a decent price point. The form factor seems nice too. Controls seem intuitive, and this unit probably makes a nice camping radio, or a BT listener in a shop or work room. Thanks TB! 😎

Expect about Ten to Fifteen hours of Play at normal volumes, longer with headphones. Clock will drain the battery, but slowly over months. Charge it every so often, and you're good to go.

The flashlight on this one is actually halfway decent, and convenient to activate. The sirens, yeah, I don't get that. It's like the SOS modes on flashlights.

Love the videos, I have watched many of your reviews & unboxings. I am an AM radio nerd, & I am looking for one of the best AM radios I can get. I bought a Tecsun 990 a few years ago and loved its performance, but it just went deaf 1 day, so I am looking for something new. I do not mind spending good money 250 - 350 for a good product. I am interested in shortwave, but that would not be the primary use for the radio, just something new to explore. Any sugestions that you or your viewers could give would be appreciated. I am located in South Bend IN if that matters at all. TIA for any info.

I just picked up a Sangean PR-D5...woah is it a monster on MW. RDS, and Stereo. The D15 may be the better overall choice because of its 1kHz tuning, and Bass/Treble controls...though the D5 seems hotter on the AM Broadcast band for sure.
