If the parents would have done that, there would have been no script, no story to tell, and definitely no show.

Too obscure for them. And they'd insist on "pristine" prints, instead of "crappy" 16mm ones like this.

I used to watch this on free broadcast tv called retro tv channel last year. It may still be there.
