14:54 As a Mexican, i was told this my entire life and fed this information that hispanic food tends to make you over weight. Like most Hispanic families your parents tend to over feed you with pozole, tortas, tamales, huaraches, quesadillas, and much more. Most hispanic dishes contains beans, which actually lowers the risk of heart disease. As well as chilies and other hot peppers are full of capsaicin which helps fight off viruses and over 16 different types of fungal pathogens. I didn’t know this, and being told my culture’s food and food in general would damage my body, i began to starve myself.

Food from my home-country tho is well-known from being fattening af (at least the traditional favourites, haha) - modernised one is great tho (or the one that heads to the roots enough): groats are awesome, fermented foods and raw weggies too, dumplings with potatoes and bacon are less healthy obv 😂

As a girl who developed an eating disorder, I'm still recovering today, and I got it like 5 years ago. I'd go days without eating anything. I literally tried to starve myself to death. It's not worth it guys. Do you think I look any prettier now? No. I'm horrifically underweight, you can see my bones, I always look like I'm going to pass out (usually true) and I have iron deficiency. I have no color in my face. Denying yourself good food to get thinner is only going to make you miserable. Having a bigger figure is beautiful in itself. Wrinkles, old age, body hair, there all wonderful parts about you. True beauty is being the most you you can be, and helping others see the, selves for who they are, and create that sort of community. I leanr3d that the hard way. I'm begging you, to anyone who needs to hear this, these people do not make you prettier. They make you easier to manipulate. If someone really has you best interest in mind, they would also mention what you already have. Sorry to break it to you, your not some special being born with nothing pretty about them. As a recovered anorexic for a year when I first saw the lads video about how what I eat makes me fatter and so on, I immediately went into my old habits of throwing food in bins, making my food look like I finished it or just going to sleep so I don't get food which in turn made me more upset as I felt ashamed that I went back to the stage I worked so long to recover from what makes this worse is even my own mother thought that I was faking for attention and shouted at me for it. I was left alone without any family member to talk to about this so I turned to my favourite teachers but because of how damaged I was I turned to make jokes about how I'm feeling, what I do, what's going on and what has happened not only as a coping mechanism but as a way to cry for help because every time I opened up to something my needs were openly neglected. Life sucks a lot and to all the weans who are going through/were in my position, younger, older or the same age as me, please let this be a sign or a shout that you aren't alone cus I found ppl who care abt me and I struggle to show it to them that I care but if I could tell them how much of a parental figure they are to me, I would but even then ik that they'd probably already see that in me. Not surprising to me. Life coaches as a whole are a pretty medically illiterate concept. Their whole job is to give people advice for their problems, which anyone who’s studied to work in the medical field at all knows patients who are truly struggling don’t need. People don’t want advice, they want solutions, and a doctor can give you that far quicker than a “life coach” can.

The obsession/fetishization of teenagers makes absolutely no sense to me. Not like it actually matters because being attractive is not the tax you have to pay to exist, but I can attest that I am waaaaaaaaay hotter now at 24 than I was at 18. And definitely hotter than when I was 16. I was so awkward and unconfident as a teen. I carried myself poorly, my body hadn't fully developed so I was unproportional. My face still had baby fat. I wore clothing I hated because I was too afraid to dress how I wanted. My makeup sucked ass. Teenagers are awkward baby people. I can't fathom being attracted to them as an adult. Like that's a whole child. Edit: Woah, thank you for all the likes and replies! For those sharing their stories with abusers, I hope that you all have found peace and safety far away from those monsters. I, too, got into the hands of someone like that when I was 15 and it was one of the worst few months of my life. And I am aware it is a power dynamic thing that attracts these creeps. It just amazes me that someone can look past how objectively unattractive a teenager is both physically and mentally just to have power. It just goes to show how truly sick in the head these people are!

Nitrate is also the one that is partly responsible for colorectal cancer in drinking water. That being said cancer are usually probabilities based despite the build up. As a person who was bullied because of my body and has recently learned that I had an ilness that didn't allow me to lose weight, I just can't stand people who are so confident that the only reason you don't have an hourglass figure is because you eat like a horse. Even if it's not an ilness, it can still be genetic, since not everyone is even able to look like a instagram model. People are just ridiculous 🤦🏼♀️

Im never going to be model skinny and its because of genetics. My hips and thighs are broad with a too large chest. I dont even wanna know what id look like skinny. Some weird fucking proportions. I dont like being overweight but i feel more confident and more proportional looking. And have less unwanted male interest. Not everyone can just starve themselves and somehow lose bone shape???

@emimia gland and hormonal type stuff. diabetes, some cancers, guts that have incorrect bacteria etc. Theres a lot that can affect weight or more accurately how the body process food. Not including physical disabilities that limit how much exercise someone can do or how long someone can fast or type of diet they can go on. I have hypermobility and i cant just go running my calories off as itd leave me hobbling around for days after, and i have a job and chores etc so i need my legs functional. I have also found i cant just not eat when at a certain level of hungry, possibly due to lower blood pressure related to the hypermobility. My body starts freaking out and i cant focus and become uncoordinated and a literal risk when having to do manual labour type stuff. So i choose safety and eat. Diets something im working on but long fasting some people cant just do

As a mexican, most food is consisted of vegetables peppers, lettuce, onion my dad was in really good shape as a teen and he is now too. Most Mexican people get bigger bc of ageing not the food so its so so disrespectful for him to sit in his mothers dirty basement and talk about a country THATS DONE NOTHING TO HIM

I’m first gen Mexican American you forgot to mention that we also consume a lot of soda to the point where in some parts of Mexico people are addicted to it and we also drink a lot of beer and alcohol in general and a lot of our food is fried or charred which are all factors into our weight gain that’s why Mexico is one of the countries with the most obese people and Hispanics being 2nd of being overweight in America don’t get me wrong this guy is an ass but he’s not entirely wrong about Mexican culture perpetuating being fat

@@Bodoque-yt3px but even then you can still make Mexican food more healthy. If he actually cared about healthy eating, he would teach people how to make healthier alternatives. He seems to see anything seen as "unhealthy" to him as a moral failing from food to body shape

let’s not forget that native foods were extremely healthy, and it was YT ppl who introduced processed foods to mexico. The native cuisine consisted primarily of beans, corn, and squash (known as the three sisters). When meat was eaten, it was always served with a vegetable or in a broth rich in collage and vitamins. Mexican food is healthy.

Im not mexican, but my family is greek and jewish. So there is a lot of greens and cheeses with good bacteria in em . Once in a while, yes I will be unhealthy and buy a bag of chips.
As someone who is a bit chubby, it’s far better than what I used to be. I had anorexia and was severely underweight, so being a healthy weight means so much to me. Watching this, his comments are exactly the same as the ones I got that caused my eating disorder

I'm so happy for you that you're doing better. I was never formally diagnosed but I definitely had some disordered eating habits for years that led me to being malnourished and underweight. When you're suffering like that, your body feels like crap so much of the time. How you feel is so much more important than how much you weigh, and when you feel good you're able to actually enjoy living.

As a female athlete… honestly that video where he’s saying “ladies this isn’t for you” looks like my usual dinner. I have abs. The hell? Edit: I’m rewatching this in parts and realized he also said that it would be unpleasant for my partner. My boyfriend literally sleeps on my back half the time, I don’t think he really cares lol Edit #2: I’ve been trying almost all of the recipes that Chef Bob has on his account in TikTok! THEYRE PHENOMENAL! Boyfriend and female athlete approved 😁 The bacon hack is a favorite. The upside down pizzas too. Edit #3: We tried the baked Ziti he posted a few days ago, and oh my. It’s so good. Edit #4: Chef Bob is at 912 thousands followers on TikTok!

I cannot say how much I love this channel. I happen to proudly identify as an "OLD FAT WOMAN" of 47 😂 . I am pleasantly healthy after many years of self sabotage and self-harm from an eating disorder. I am not on social media often, so I might be a still in the stone age, but I am so happy that there are people, such as yourself, on social media who call out the ridiculousness of the world we live in. I also appreciate the way you educate but with a fantastically sarcastic way...stay gold, friend.
Chef Bob uploaded just yesterday by the way ❤ and his food looks just as delicious as it always does
It’s crazy to me how Andrew insinuates that overweight chefs are “unhealthy” in the first place… my grandparents immigrated from Italy and my whole upbringing I was always told to NOT eat food from a skinny chef because that means it can’t be good if the chef doesn’t even eat it
