@@DEMiURGE455 Basically a slave master cutting off a pinky, an ear, an arm, or anything would massively decrease a slaves value, and they were incredibly expensive. There was no point in chopping off anything, because no matter what you chopped off the slave would have worse performance, and you would still have to feed him the same amount, thus losing you money that you otherwise could have had. So, cutting of pieces of slaves was rarely done because it hurt both parties. Only if the slave was insanely disobedient or if the master was insanely insane would this probably ever happen. Anyways, hope you didn’t get the impression I’m defending slavery, but you gotta remember that slavery is a means to get more money, not to just ruin lives for the fun of it.

The trick is to try and get in ahead of the meta, your racism is a lot less potent if everyone else is doing it. Currently im brushing up on my internal middle eastern racism. Not only is it a hot button area right now, you also have 1000s of years of racial and ethnic conflicts over the most petty of causes. As a budding racist these sorts of hotly debated but minor differences are pure gold because you can generally apply them to any person or group from that area and hit a nerve. Racist knowledge you obtain from say, and Iraqi about the Lebanese can generally also be applied fairly smoothly to Jordanians. Plus you get a bit of side anti israeli racism and as 109 people will tell you, the classics are classics for good reason.

To explain the pro Israel, pro Hitler stance of Indians: Indians who usually are pro Hitler don't know much about him, they don't know the worldviews he held about races or that he considered even them as subhuman. A smaller fraction of people are pro Hitler because Hitler was sort of the enemy's enemy of colonial India. There was even some sort of alliance between the Japanese and Indian infantry to fight the British Indian government to free India. WW2 did cause India's freedom in the end. The pro Israel stance stems mostly from Indians seeing themselves in Israel and Pakistan in Palestine and I guess everybody knows how much India and Pakistan cherish each other. Then there is of course the religious differences of Muslims and Hindus in India. Edit: To mention another reason for Indians being pro Israel, Israel had helped India quite a lot when India was invaded or when India was fighting to end the Bangladesh genocide, all the while when all the western countries were either neutral or actively supporting the side India was fighting

The fact you say King Leopold II means you should actually read about it. Just because Stalin repressed his opponents and some of them were minorities doesn't make him a racist - it makes him a dictator. Stalin was colorblind communist, he was ok with jews (like Kaganovich) and ethnic minorities (like Mikoyan) that were loyal to him.

Hitler and Stalin in one line together? They could be in one tier by dictatorship, but not their racial prejudicies. While Hitler literally exterminated certain ethnic groups for their origin, Stalin separated people to loyal and useful for KPSS (his party), Ussr and communism in general and unloyal ones. First groups who suffered from his rule were unloyal classes from Soviet citizens themselves (Russians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Caucasians etc) and only after that Poles, Baltics, Finns. He cooperated with communists from these countries, his agenda was to make them communists or move from his way obstacles, oppress, resettle, but not exterminate them whatever it takes.

in the contemporary western discourse, racist becomes synnoyms as 'bad' so every bad characters must be racists, which is frankly not true. People can be bad for all sorts of reason. By fitting all types of evil into a simple and naive view is only counter productive to understanding history.
