Unfortunately I have seen many people abroad don't respect Indians that much outside India. This has much to do with Indian behavior and lack of courtesy. I am not saying all Indians are bad but many who travel have made a bad image for our country. All the same blind racism is not good either

They act as if you want to live in their country. Questioning you about your money, where you are staying, how much money you have in your bank etc. They don't like Indians. My husband usually travels for cricket and it's always the Caribbean islands giving him a hard time. Even with a US passport.

Back in 2005 I was in the UK with an Indian passport and had a UK leave to stay indefinitely and my company was sending me to Bahamas for work but Bahamas embassy in London refused me a visa. I have no Idea why a UK resident would be refused a visa... I guess it was my Indian passport. I decided never to visit Bahamas even if they came to my house to give me a visa. Bahamas has some sort of bias for Indians.

Because, indians buy cheap laptops , mobiles etc from us and sell here. It's a fact. So every indian who comes from US gets special treatment. And if u have more laptops they will ask you to make a deposit. My friends brought 6 laptops haha, they made them to put s deposit and during the return, they can get the deposit back after showing the laptop . Also if you're coming from Dubai, u will be extra checked at Delhi because of cheap gold Indians buy there and sell on the shops. And also from Thailand where I was contacted by a shopkeeper to bring a bag of clothes , he was giving me 10,000 for that lol. Now you know why Indians get special treatment at Delhi. If white also start doing it, they will get that same special treatment. 😉

Wow! Hostel is located at perfect site. It is soo very serene and soothing to eyes.i just loved that part the most. You guys must have enjoyed the stay there after that rucking . Jamaica airport in Kingston is the worse. Racist. When I refuse to move from the line where bags are scanned they call their supervisor and manager before I'm allowed to put my bags through.

I have been Bahamas in 2018 but I went from US by cruise from Florida. I didn’t feel anything except while returning I was stopped and called for detail check in Miami. I had Haldiram bhujia (easily available in US Indian stores like Patel Brothers). Security officials asked me to eat bhjiya and then released after bag check. But when they cam to know that we are Indian but from US then they leave us respectfully…This happens with us Indian. Otherwise Bahamas is great specially ocean tours and lighthouses

@@786uchihamadara The number one thing for me has been to remind myself that I am in a foreign country and what you think is appropriate and acceptable in your country may be frowned upon in their country. Always advisable to learn a bit about their culture, maybe a bit of basic language, greetings and so forth. Behave well. Don’t forget you representing your nation. Cleanness is important. You will find mostly people are very accommodating specially in tourist areas because you are spending money there. I am not a solo traveler I travel with my family. For solo travellers watch some solo travel videos for tips. Always be well prepared and you will enjoy it. Every country has something special and unique to offer.

This could be because of the media they follow that stereotype of India or look down upon the Indians. I've been to multiple countries myself. It's not too bad working in The Bahamas. Foreigners usually get a better pay than locals. The perks are also pretty good. Maybe one day reconsider or come visit for vacation. Not all Bahamians are bad like that taxi driver. Out of all the taxi drivers they saw only one harassed him. The majority of Bahamians are kind. Bahamians have a reputation of being some of the friendliest people n the world. 😊

I am not affiliated with any political party, it is North East India that discriminates against the people from rest of India due to their special status. Some states in North East India, like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Mizoram, have special provisions under the Indian Constitution known as Inner Line Permit (ILP) or similar regulations. These permits restrict the entry and stay of people from other parts of India and regulate property ownership. The ILP system can restrict the free mobility of Indian citizens from other states in the region. However, these restrictions are usually not applicable to government officials and members of the armed forces. I sincerely believe the laws of any Indian citizen must be same throughout India by Uniform Civil Code. Otherwise, Indians won’t be treated with respect in the comity of nations.

Its very first time am hearing such cases...coz we r staying in Bahamas almost 20yrs...we never faced such kind of problems...intact here ppl r very friendly and helpful..

In delhi airport when taxi drivers try to scam or harrass foreigners for taxi it's wrong. Then this is nothing different. Still according to them we are wrong.

Why this is happening 1) Indians behave natorious in many places ( We all know that ) 2) Indian currency is not strong as US dollar so we are lease profitable to most of countries. 3) Indians bargain lot and try to save money in everything so we are not much sender's in traveling 4) Many Indian migrant to other countries by illigal way so most of the locals dont like us. 5) Due to massive population we are everywhere and every country so most of natives dont like us.
