    Great job boys. One thing that nobody else talks about racing is the fact that when you're new, you're absolutely craping yourself on the podium. Everything is terrifying and can be overwhelming to a new starter. So nice to see clubs out there that are welcoming and supportive, especially as so many clubs take it way too seriously and it can take the shine off it.

    @@PopalongRC Absolutely. Maybe a little less daunting for some to try racing and also letting everyone know that we were all beginners once. The nicest take away from this is seeing just how much enjoyment can be had from a good quality RTR car. We all love the high end kit but it absolutely ups the stress levels at the track as there is just so much to think about. There's alot to be said for just fitting the control tyre at your club, turning up and having a drive around. Thanks again for sharing :)

    This is so real! I got really into nitro 1/8 buggy when I was in my late teens. I quit because it was too cut throat and I wasn't having fun because of it. Now, in my 30's, my dad and I are getting back into RC because we found a local club that was incredibly welcoming. Allowed us to run our mod motors, turned down, in novice class until we got our 21.5's. We're having a blast doing it together and enjoy exposing my son to the track. He's only 2 and is out there marshaling for papa and dad on practice days. The track does a lot for STEM camps and stuff, has a great novice class and rental program, everyone has been inviting and helpful... it's just SOOOOO different than my solo experience in 1/8 scale nitro at 18 years old.

Liked for this vid after catching your race with Kev and the others. Interested in the RTR concept but honestly, I’d just do an older used b6 model pro kit build car. Those RTR’s, while great for what they are… just not the race bred beasts like the pro kit cars. This helped me to make that decision. Great stuff mates!!! So glad I found yas!!! 😊

C final winner is a great result as a rookie mate! But will say l prefer the good old days of racing! Way too serious for me! I raced back in the day with my Boomerang and its Demon motor and Parma shell and it was way more relaxing and cheaper then those expensive crazy fast rockets! • @VestedUTuber
    @VestedUTuber5 ай бұрын

    I'll say this - you should try putting these two cars on an actual dirt track, as they are, and see what happens. I bet you the RB10 will actually be slightly faster. Reason being that the box setup for the RB10 is a bit less focused specifically for the high-traction carpet, turf and sealed clay surfaces typically favored for 1/10th scale racing and a bit more focused on being able to run on a wide variety of surfaces, including rough, blown-out dirt tracks, whereas a carpet-tuned B6.4 is going to get bounced and tossed around on anything not perfectly smooth.

    @@PopalongRC from speaking to one of the main UK suppliers the lack of non race kits is down to QC in China. That's why we have rollers being produced as they know the car is at least complete and not missing any parts. My take would be to manufacture somewhere else like Taiwan as Hobao, Traxxas and Awesomatix do, cost is a little more but then so is the quality and the QC.
