Racing my WLToys 104001 in the NZ Off-road Nationals 2023
Ойын-сауық
Described as the 'Worst RC race car ever' by the excellent Ryan Harris, I decided to offer the WLToys 104001 a chance at redemption by entering it into the 2023 New Zealand Off-road Nationals, held at the CMR track in Wellington NZ. Equipped with a super-budget sensorless motor, esc and servo package from Banggood, I qualified 3rd in the Mod Buggy C main. Three mains races went badly partly due to my driving, and partly down to the driving of others and ended up 8th. Still not too shabby! This video is of my second qualifying round, probably my best one.

Awesome setup eh!
Would you say this car is a good platform for track beginners on a budget? It seems other options are way over budget and it’s easier to upgrade over time (financially)
What body shell is that?
