Spielberg gave careers to Drew Barrymore, Henry Thomas, Christian Bale, Whoopie Goldberg and now Rachel Zegler. Isn't he a treasure?

Spielberg also helped DiCaprio's career a bit after Titanic. Although he didn't work with DiCaprio as much as Scorsese, Spielberg gave him a great role in Catch Me If You Can at a time when he was a bit of a poor film choice after Titanic.

Absolutely mindblowing she's only 20. Such an incredible talent and so well spoken.
Rachel you were SENSATIONAL in this interview, you listened, you reacted, you added, you were carismatic as ever, and professional and articulate, even more than i knew you were, and very intelligent, the person who said you should’ve acted different is a 100% mistaken
Can’t wait to see Rachel in Disney’s “Snow White” with Gal Gadot. Perfect casting! It’s one of my favorite Disney animations. I also hope they keep “Some Day My Prince Will Come” for her to sing with her incredible range.

@@m.syauqiabdurahman2798 they can do that it’s not really going to change anything. There’s not a lot of songs in the original, plus new songs would make this version more original. They’re doing it for every live action, e.g in the little mermaid (2023) they added 4 new songs.

@@idaf3028 Yeah, you say that but that’s what actually kind of hurt even more about the other Disney remakes because it added nothing, which made it more distracting in how that was one of the only few parts they changed.
Congrats Rachel!!! To be chosen out of 30,000 by Spielberg and follow in the footsteps of Natalie Wood is truly a life-changing moment.
Rachel's life is the stuff of fairy tales to going from some random girl in NJ to having so many big projects tied to her name after only 1 film at such a young age

Beautiful as my parents lived that west side story as my Italian grandma didn’t speak to my father for five years for marrying my mom and having me. She said I dirtied up the family blood lines. I was the best thing that happen to their blood lines. The ornery Latina was the best thing that happen to them.
PARAMORE YEAH!!

Yeah, but being judged by skin color is another thing entirely
Don't know if it was Rachels original thought or something she got told to say but "accurately represent" is not entirely true. She is a second generation half latina. Her grandmother is the latina immigrant,at most she has heard her grandma's experience but not lived the life of what it is to be an immigrant. Her character is a immigrant latina.Heard they did casting in Puerto Rico what better redemption than to actually cast a immigrant PR girl.Or at least they should have kept their lines of "accurate Representation" to themselves because it's not entirely true. Some people even complained she is of Colombian descent and not Puerto Rican. Also why have her shade 2 original films(Wss and SW)for which she is lead in the remakes, even if the criticism is true, just not good PR and gets hate sent her way.
Ain’t fun living in the real world!

Spielberg wanted to. It was a passion project of his
I didn’t like the shade she threw at Natalie Wood who is a much better actor than Rachel who has very little experience as an actor. Natalie Wood had been acting since age 4 and was a bonafide movie star. No respect. I guess that’s why the movie bombed. The original remains a classic that won 11 (yes 11) Oscars. The most of any movie ever.
I love how the audience has to wear mask but the 2 stars could embrace each other without having to wear a mask. I bet most of the audience is vaccinated.
But they surely removed the best linw in 61 WSS: "ya vengo papa"
