I was a volunteer firefighter with a full time job at the hospital and a side job bartending for many years, the training volunteer men and women have to go through is intense and on their own time and money. I'm sorry this happened to you, but glad you were able to rebuild your home, it is stunning... most people suffer displacement and significant loss. Best wishes!

So sorry you went through such a horrific fire, but your rebuild is absolutely breathtaking, beautiful gorgeous, and I know you are grateful thankful and blessed. PS you don't really need children John's sort of takes that spot LOL , that's a toys and that's studio, Can never get bored. Then when you're hungry walked on the stairs and you have a wife who is a chef. Great space great life, well deserved💕

Oh Rachael and John beautiful just beautiful.. I'm glad the clock survived I got choked up, Ok now. I totally relate .. we had a fire when we were kids. Almost nothing compares.

We lost our everything in September 8th 2020 Holiday Farm Fire in Oregon. Good for you two. We are still waiting for building permit 2 years+ later Prayers

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the reclaimed barn wood and wood plank floors!!! I am a HUGE lover of the farm/barn style decor, but I really love your kitchen and fireplace. OMG!! So much counter space!!! That oven and cook top are to die for!!!! You two have such incredible and amazing taste to be able to make such a massive home feel so welcoming, comforting, BEAUTIFUL, and secure. There is such an underlying joy in your home. One gets the feeling that it wouldn't take much for extreme laughter and joy to break out at any moment. So much LOVE, BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES, and BEAUTIFUL MEMORBILIA went into making your home exude so much love. I love seeing people displaying and carrying the families' gifts, talents, history with memorabilia that has been passed down. Then lifting them up in pride and love for all to see and experience. Now you all need to create more wonderful memories!!

It's so fun to see you both happy back in your 'original' home. I was glad to see John finally get to his room as every piece shown in the rest of the home was reflective of Rachael or from her friends or family. Unless I missed it I didnt see and art, decor, or certain parts of the build that represented John. But a beautiful home and now you can create new memories in the new space to make it feels just as comforting as before.

I love that you have your beautiful home back. Maybe you can come out to Paradise, California to help those who still live in trailers after losing the entire town in the Camp Fire fire in 2018. Maybe a fund raiser? It’s been 3 years and the entire town needs a rebuild. The town has a strong heart and is dedicated to building back but could use any and all help to compensate the loss of 14,000 homes. Again, congratulations on getting your beautiful home back. 🍾

Sorry this happened to your family, the renovation turned out beautiful, I love everything. I’m glad you were able to capture you & your Hubby’s style. Living in CA I definitely need to have my fireplace checked more often. Your Isaboo is there in spirit!

My granddaughter's house burned early August. Very sadly lost their cat but 2 dogs saved. They were at work. It was electrical. Such a shock. Just so thankful they are safe. Yes firefighters are heros. She is just starting to feel a little normal again. Putting a trailer on the land until they can rebuild. Your house is gorgeous. It is wonderful to be able to put such thought into your rebuild. I wish you many happy years in your home.
