I don't like the GR version. But I must say your video brings a lot of adrenaline. Especially the scene at 2:25 for example. Good camera work! I subbed!

You really have to be a huge Toyota fan to buy into this GR. Imo it's half an effort to expand your premium bakkie range.

I would go for the Legend 50 any day. The GR Colours for me are just off point for a buckie. Anyways Team GR you are doing a great job on the SACCS. The past weekend was epic in Lichtenburg alongside Fernando Alonso..

That's what I was wondering. But I imagine the bakkie with smaller wheel has gearing that is different too, so it is not just the automatic transmission that made the difference.

*rant mode on* Best Hilux ever? I think that crown still belongs to the old base model 2.4 diesel. GR Hilux should have the 3UZ motor in it. Tired of these silly things manufacturers do to their vehicles,AMG package on a C180? Msport on a 320i? Dakar stickers on a standard Hilux. The only reason that VW has the Vivo, Toyota has the Quest, Ford has the Figo and so on and so forth is because of the way the South African vehicle market is designed. If you do the homework, South Africa is one of the the most expensive places in the world to buy a brand new car, due to monopolising of the industry by a single company, but that's a different discussion altogether. Affordability is why these model options exist. Majority of the car buying public would rather buy yesterday's average car as today's entry-level car rather than an actual present-day entry-level car. Example: The current Polo Vivo occupies the price point that belongs to the VW Up! Now your argument is don't give the customer the choice, if he's got Up! money then that's that... Well ask any guy with a family to lug around which car he'd prefer over these and you'd have your answer. Simple economics is why they exist. Supply and Demand still run the world.

Yeah hilux is unbreakable, but my friend's isuzu trooper clocked 1,316,010 kms and still running, but the dash stopped its already broken so kms stopped counting..

This is bullshit. There is no difference between a GR Sport, Legend 50 or base 2.8GD-6, except for the price, stickers and different bodykit. It's just a pricing strategy. In this video the two second shaved is simply due to the auto 'box, no trick suspension, se gat!
