Made it before it went dark! Great effort. That must have been a real struggle in places, especially with the blisters. Well done 💪🏃♂️

Nicely Done. Another great vid. Please keep making them, there's a solid conveying of exactly what it might be like and I'm watching as recon for future. Happy 2024!

Thanks for the kind words - it's really nice to know all the effort is appreciated and valued! The music is important to me! Playlist: DJ Crisps: Never Gonna Stop; Yosh: Show Me; Faze Action: Fantasy. And yeah - you probably clocked a few of my barbed comments about a race that may or may not have been UTS 😂

Fantastic effort. Doing it straight through is amazing. I done the 2 day option. It nearly broke me. Can I ask what camera you used?

Thanks very much, and well done to you as well! When my feet were soaked, I was very jealous of the 2-dayers!! Camera was a GoPro 11 Black.

@@johnflorio8425 luckily, an amazing guy had a spare pair. he had some dry ones for his partner, but amazingly had an extra pair for himself even though he wasn't running, and gave them to me. LIFESAVER!

Was that a Garmin I saw? What kind of gps setting did you use to be sure of 15hours?
@thelaidbackrunner
Жыл бұрын
Correct! It is a fenix 6x pro solar. I had problems with battery before, but the trick is to turn off all the connections, so it's not polling your phone for bluetooth and not searching for wifi. I also use the 'ultra running' mode, so you can press lap when you're at a pitstop to avoid it wasting valuable gps energy when it's not needed. I get really good battery life when I'm not draining the heck out of it with connections that aren't needed. I didn't use maps for this one, as I knew it'd be a very well marked route, but have used maps with those settings, and it's been fine.
