This is what I ride every weekend. Makes more power than I need and it never breaks down. I can't tell you how many times my buddies newer bikes break down out on the trails all while my bike runs flawlessly. Not only that but it hangs with the newer bikes power and speed wise.

16 year old bike. All the bike, 99.5% of riders will ever need. Nice refresh. Good for another few years, of berm blasting.

I have that bike and love it still. Bought mine brand new in 08. I ride it every year. Love hitting jumps on it. And yes the carb can be frustrating to rebuild. I cleaned it. Then rebuilt it twice. Once with aftermarket rebuild stuff and another with factory parts. Still no luck. So i boned up and bought a tokyo mods carb. That carb is so sweet. Bike runs tits still. Cant go wrong with this bike!

Haven’t raced/rode in 4 years. Just picked up a 05 crf450r. Put 17 front forks on it and rebuilt complete top end. Not a fuel injected bike but tons of fun. Really happy with it.

The only bad thing with 05 verses 06-08 is the 05 valves go out way quicker than the 06-08.

Best frame out there, Still better than any new bike. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I have a 07 .. still choose it’s frame over the 20 yami and 22 kawi I have.

Definitely liked the pegs you guys put on the bike. I have to get some for my 22'CRF450RWE. We were there at Perris and rode that exact vet track back on Memorial day and had fun. The vet track at Cahuilla is also fun to ride!

Awesome build guys. I've actually only heard bad things about namura. But you know how them things go now that I see professionals using their parts and they work just fine I'm going to save myself some money and use them too

Dang, sure didn’t spend much time working on the cosmetics, plastics, graphics. I just rebuilt my 05 and in the process made it look much more modern. Did you try anything like the R&D power bowl? Nifty tech to make it feel more like an injected bike and less issues adjusting the carb. Since there were so many 05-08 bikes sold, there was a lot of after market developed for it as well.

We really didn’t want to modernize the look much. More of an old school Honda team look. Very basic logo placement and clean look

When Covid hit I figured I'd buy myself and the kids some bikes to kill time. I haven't rode since 1990 but I picked up an 07 crf450. Great bike love it and probably put 100 hrs on it in two summers. But since I bought it under wide open throttle it will bog out. If I'm 90% throttle it will be crisp up until it starts to top out then bogs. Does it in every gear. Put a carb kit in , new spark plug , valves and air filter are good. Any ideas? Lol.

I got an 06 with a similar problem. After some research it looks like it’s gotta be something to do with the carb. Either the float bowl being installed correctly, or getting stuck from gunk in the carb. Last, it could be clogged jets. Pretty much just clean the carb very well.

I have an 06 CRF 450r and a 21 KTM 350...the Honda isn't nearly as fun as the KTM. But the Honda still runs strong so it's hard to justify dumping it.

Why, too lazy to kick it? Is the CRF stock or does it have the suspension and other things done? I ride with a lot of guys with the KTM and husky 350, and I don’t give up anything to any of them, power, suspension, handling, weight. Only thing I ever envy is electric start on a steep hill or at end of the day. My CRF isn’t stock though. Btw, if you have an 06, might want to hurry and sell it before the recession hits. There has been a pretty good market for them since Covidd

Use Namura pistons in a two stroke and your engine will be no-more-a . Maybe they've gotten better but that's a brand I would stay away from.
