Спорт
We all know how Race 5 of the 1995 America's Cup ended, but who remembers the start? Team Stars & Stripes sailing Young America, were 4 races down and needed a strong start if they had any hope of slowing the momentum of the Kiwis sailing Black Magic.

there are other channels that have the full race and the summary of the LV and AC
As a kiwi it was very satisfying to watch Black Magic take that cup 5:0. That series became known as the “black wash” as superior boat speed and great sailing cleaned up every race in the finals. I love the foiling boats. They’re simply awesome ( thanks ETNZ!). But to those who can appreciate the subtle tactics and cut and thrust. These races are still good to watch -it’s not all about speed.
Yay!!!! Finally. America's Cup 1995 Content.
Paul Cayard vs Russell Coutts. Amazing. This is the real america's cup.
Stunning racing
This is when I became a fan.

AMAZING
I wish I had bought some Apple shares then
Funny to see them in all those extra-baggy 90s clothing. No concern for the aerodynamics at 10Kn of boat speed.
Please post the whole race!
Half the crew is gone and the other half are meathead cyclors now. Figuratively.
Boring!! compared to the Foiling yachts which is a lot more dynamic & entertaining to watch.!!

I find the results in the foiling competition a bit hit and miss. Outcomes tend to quite a lottery. Great drama from the older boats.

@@idenhlm Well, it's all subjective. Any race can be dramatic If a spectator has sufficient interest in it. I'm not a fan of inshore non-foiling monohull races. However, I like to watch both foiling and non-foiling multihulls. In offshore races, anything goes for me because I have an interest.
So boring compared with the foilers. I would rather watch the grass grow.

Sure they’re slow compared to the foiling boats ( which I love btw ), but like most sports, if you understand the subtleties and nuances of a game you’re a fan, not just a spectator. There’s a whole lot of tactics and moves going on here.

@@robinhodgkinson Actually I sort of agree with you. I remember watching one of the earlier Americas Cups and was riveted. I forget which one it was, maybe it was this one or a bit later. But now I am fixated on anything that foils. I am even trying to get my 2 meter radio controlled trimaran to foil.
