It's amazing how many people don't realize how good of a fighter a racoon is. Takes a good dog to put one one down.

Awesome! I have on my trail cam, also, 2 a mama and papa raccoon that fought off a coyote that got too close to their nest..THEY DONT PLAY!!

My neighbor had a big aggressive Pitbull and it attacked an invading racoon in their backyard. Then Racoon held on to the dog's neck and then proceeded to rapidly dig in to the dog's body with it hind legs and claws. The dogs internals/blood poured out and the Pitty was dying within a minute, gone in two. Racoons are no joke.

Raccoons are amazing creatures and thats why they are among the most successful critters to successfully co exist with humans.

That's one bad-ass racoon!

That's a young Coyote. Most older/bigger coyotes would snatch that coon up in a flash if he wanted too.

At first I thought they were eating acorns but maybe this game cam is over a corn feeder...

Perhaps racoons may seem friendly with people and domestic cats because it can avail free food. However in the wild there is no free food from others.

Up in the Northwest raccoons get bigger than Coyotes.

I worked at a UPS hub unloading trailers and 3 of us were almost done with just a few boxes left. When we grabbed the last ones a hissing, snarling demon of death racoon emerged. It was like a Stephen King horror flick. We flew out of that trailer. This thing looked like it could rip us to shreds.

To bad there wasn't sound, ,,,,,, that would have been a screaming match for sure

I love it!!! That's a 35 lb raccoon and what a Bad ass!! showing No fear whatsoever and I love how they drop down and get that butt up looking bigger ... That Coyote wants no part of that Raccoon. Good stuff. #floridawildlifebuddies

Raccoons can become 3-4 times the size of a cat

They eat them but it's mostly roadkill. Raccoon is not easy prey for them and can climb a tree to get away.

That coyote was small and prolly not experienced plus that raccoon was huge and looked like a good fighter. I’ve seen coyotes grab raccoons with ease it all depends on the situation.

Yes they do. I don't know why you say that. They will try to fight for their life with a wolf in areas that have wolves. However probably to loose
