Jayati is the best Rabindrasangeet singer that modern time has produced. Her singing style, diction, tonal quality are amazingly beautiful, incredibly modern sans mannerism and her songs haunt me for days. And Prattyush is by far the most eclectic music arranger - he thinks and breathes Rabindrasangeet and understands them organically. His arrangement brings in new sounds that enhances the songs, he pushes boundaries ever so gently - and this is how it should be. Jayati, too, is not a Tagore singer like the olden days. Her voice carries emotion and subtle drama . So these two unique artists have created a product which will withstand the test of time. My humble two cents.

Fantastic song

Jayati is blessed with devine voice, distinct pronunciations, unique renditions. This album is crowded with unnecessary avoidable background music. Artist see to take a note for future albums. Tagore is ever modern & always contemporary. His songs are heard not by ear,but by heart.

I agree. Her God gifted voice only requires minimum background music. Rabindra Sangeet is not for listening through ear but only heart.

জয়তি চক্রবর্তীর গান হৃদয় এ আলোড়ন আনে -আমার হৃদয় ভরা অভিনন্দন রইল -নাম সার্থক হোক।

I completely agree with Mr. Bob Mukhopadhyay and Dr.Gurusaday Bhattacharya. I have been Jayatidi's student since the year 1999 and I have heard her sing without instruments. She is the best singer we have now, who can sing Rabindrasangeet with such poise, grace, emotion and feel and the quality of her voice is definitely an icing on the cake. This album had just tried to focus on the number of musical instruments used, without giving any importance to the singer. The excessive use of musical instruments was absolutely irrelevant. This album could have been made in a much better way. Being one of your oldest students and your greatest admirers, I would request you Jayatidi to look into this matter on a serious note.

আমার খুব প্রিয় তুমি দিদি... আমার সকাল শুরু হয় রবীন্দ্র সংগীত দিয়ে... এর মাঝে তোমার গানের সুর অন্যতম..

আমি রবিঠাকুরের গানের অত্যন্ত ভক্ত।আর জয়তী দির গান তো আমার খুব খুব খুব খুব ভালো লাগে। আমি গান টাকে মনথেকে ভালো বাসি।সবার মতো হয়তো অত ভালো কিছু জানি না তবে আমার মনে হয় রবীন্দ্র সংগীত এ এত আধুনিকতা না হলে মন্দ হতো না। তবে একেবারে খারাপ লাগে নি।।♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

অসাধারণ বললেও কম বলা হয় । ক্ষনিকের জন্য হারিয়ে গেলাম ... জয়তীদি, সত্যিই তোমার গানের তালে, যেমনভাবে লতা দোলে হাওয়ায় .. আশা এই যে এই স্মৃতি হোক চিরদিনের .. শুভেচ্ছা।

দিদির গান সবসময়ই অসাধারণ। যত শুনি অরো শুনতে ইচ্ছে করে ।

আমি এর আগে জয়তী চক্রবর্তীর কণ্ঠে রবীন্দ্র সংগীত সেরকম মনদিয়ে শুনিনি ,সত্যি বলতে আমার কাছে নজরুল গীতি বেশি প্রিয় ও বেশি উপভোগ্য মনে হতো। কিন্তু আজকাল জয়তীর কণ্ঠ শুনে আমি ওনার গাওয়া রবীন্দ্র সংগীত গুলোর প্রেমে পড়ে গেছি। এককথায় অসাধারণ গায়কি ও গায়িকা। অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ জয়তী কে নতুন করে রবীন্দ্রসংগীত কে ভালোবাসার মানুষ বানিয়ে দেওয়ার জন্যে।

I remember one of the historical comments of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty to jayati when she won the first prize in a Bengali reality musical contest conducted by a Bengali Television Channel, " you are a long way horse in music provided you learn it with due modesty'. Now, this has come true. An honest comment from a musical stalwart never goes in vain!

জয়তীর গানের ভক্ত দীর্ঘদিন। কিছুদিন আগে TSS (টরোন্টো সাংস্কৃতিক সংস্থা) আয়োজিত এক অনুষ্ঠানে খুব কাছে বসে জয়তীর গান শুনার সৌভাগ্য হলো। মন্ত্রমুগ্ধের মত তাঁর গান শুনলাম। প্রতিটি গান শেষে তাঁর কথাগুলোও গানের মতো প্রাণ জুড়ানো। মনে হলো জয়তী একজন বড় মাপের শিল্পীই নন, অনুকরণ করার মতো এক ব্যক্তিত্বও! শ্রোতাদেরকে ঈশ্বর জ্ঞান করে তিনি গান পরিবেশন করেন। গান শেষে হাত জোড় করে মাথা নত করে যখন শ্রোতাদের প্রণাম করলেন তখন সমস্ত শ্রোতা আসন ছেড়ে দাড়িয়ে তাঁকে সেই প্রণামের উত্তর দিলেন, এ এক অভূতপূর্ব দৃশ্য। এমন জয়তীকে ভালো না বেসে থাকা যায়? সেদিন থেকে জয়তীর গান আর জয়তী, দুটোরই ভক্ত 😊।

Excellent selection of songs and beautifully sung by melodious voice of jayati. Excellent. Congrats.

Joyati is second to none. So vibrant and flawlessness of voice is only of heavenly gift. Veterans singers like Kanika Bondopadhy, Suchitra Mitra are legend, though they weren’t as blessed as Joyati.

When it comes to Rabindra Sangeet, she is gem of a singer touching my heart with her every song!

অফিসে বসে বসে কাজরে ফাকে ফাকে শুনছি একদম কম শব্দে। কেমন জানি ভাল লাগছে । অনেক ধন্যবাদ আশা অডিও এবং জয়তী দিদিকে।

A solid baritone is her usp with clear pronunciation...all because of her solid control over breathing...she can sings Lines with 20 words at a stretch without any discomfort....hearing her one understands how control over breathing is so important for singing.
