I've tried hunting these, but haven't got one yet. It's like hunting a ghost.

Over time you'll find success and be able pattern their habits, keep at it!

What shot size are you using? Going out tomorrow with our .410 for rabbits here in NB. End of February is closing season for hares.

Believe those were #6’s. They do the job, #4’s are premo if you’ve got them tho!

what is your maximum range with that 410 on those snow shoes?

For me with my Cooey single shot I limit myself to 20 yards in the thick stuff, does a good job and doesn’t throw a large pattern so keeping it in the head is fairly easy and won’t have to worry about picking pellets out of the body!

Give the zone a rest for a few nights and you'll likely find it in the exact same spot!

Good video but I’m a rabbit hunter from way back and got one question why didn’t you cook the rest of the rabbit the front quarters the backstrap you wasted a lot of meat ??!! 🤷‍♂️🤔

Back legs were cooked in the field, backstraps, front legs and heart were brought home to be consumed that night. Thanks for watching!
