Of course there are different cultures and different traditions but sometimes its better to be alittle tough. I enjoyed learning about Rabbi Moshe Hayim Luzzatto and the fact that he was an Italian Jewish Rabbi made it all the more interesting.

Interestingly at about 24.22 to 25:25 in this video while Abramson is talking about the Luzatto's visitation of the maggid, a bright beam of sunset light is shining through the blinds at the back window. Upon watching many hours of videos classes in this room I never noticed such a light before. I would say a beam of light is often a carrier of a spiritual message or confirmation of such. proportions. Kudos to the universal presence.

Thank you, Dr. Abramson, for your presentation. Rabbi Moshe Hayim Luzzatto (זצוקללה״ה) is most definitely one of my favorite rabbanim. My "love story" with the RaMHaL goes back to 2016 when I "stumbled upon" his book "The Way of Torah" (The Rohr Edition, The Torah Classics Library, Feldheim Publishers, 2014). The book is not only a guide to Talmud Study by one of the greatest rabbanim: to my mind, it has a much larger scope, it is a true "Treatise on Clear Thinking and Thorough Analysis".

P did the Vilna Gaon Tzl say that he would travel all the way on foot from Vilna to Padua just to meet the author Rabbi Moshe Hayim Luzzatto the author of The Mesilas Yesharim.

After he read shaar hachasidus (gate of piety) from the mesilas yisharim he decided he was going to walk to padua to learn at the feet of the ramchal. His students informed him that the ramchal was no longer alive, so he stayed in vilna.

Dr. Abramson, your lecture references a book you were writing at the time of this lecture. Is it now available? (Thank you for this lecture series.)

Excellent lecture Professor! Since I am currently studying Angelology, and about battlefield miracles in the modern Israeli wars, I'd love to hear those spooky Kabbalah stories!
