Pandit Vijay Koparkar is an exponent of Hindustani Classical Music. He started his musical training at the age of eight. His first musical Guru (teacher) for eight years was Madhusudan Patwardhan. This was followed by training under renowned artist of yesteryear, Vasantrao Deshpande for five years and then under Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki for seven years.

तानांचा अतिरेक व त्यातही काहीच वैविध्य नाही. केवळ सामान्य माणसाला प्रभावित करण्याचा प्रयत्न दिसतो. अभिषेकींचा संयमित गायनाचा संस्कार दिसत नाही कुठेच.
