I am deeply fond of amazing classical Raag Megh for last over two decades . I often start audio cassette player of this raag during intense summer season of May & June when temperature of sun outside becomes unbearably high . Within few hours of rendition I have noticed atmosphere outside getting little cooler , comfortable and sky turning soothing & softer to my pleasure with wonder ! Sometimes even clouds have started appearing in the sky to my surprise & dismay ! Others may also experiment with this raag and experience themselves the mystic impact of raag megh on surroundings even during non-rainy season ! I undoubtedly believe in ancient stories of magical effect of various raag on human body , mind , soul & psyche ! Long live Indian classical music & our all great masters of various raag ! Amen !

....Pt.jasraj ji ke sath jo table pe kam hua hai wo....Akram bahi ke siiiwa kar hiii koiii nahiii sakta wah wah pt.ji ki jai ho

1st rendition is by Pt Jasraj ji who has brought in a lot of variations in the raag & has enriched this rendition beyond the usual plane. Second number rendered by flute of Pt Ronu Majumdar and 3 rendition by Ustad Rashid Khan in Alap & drut and 4 rendition in drut have been enchanting. Thx for sharing.

Now it is raining outside with music listening. An indescribable feeling is raining down on my soul.

Rashid Khan had recorded a wonderful Megh, "Dar laage",on one side of a cassette, the other side was a nameless, much older ustaad This does not seem to be on U tube..I have the cassette, but no way of transcribing it, or uploading it.....Is anyone interested... Both sides are wonderfull !!
