One artist who owns a Raag while performing is definitely Vidushi Smt. Amonkar Amonkar Tai.. the way she progresses and unfolds the raags just stands apart. Apratim Gayaki.. unmatchable gayaki.. I bow to such a Soul..

I am Kishoritai's senior-most disciple. This recording of 34 minutes has the beginning and ending portions missing. The original tape which Kishoritai herself gave me for safe-keeping and which I have edited to studio quality is about 45 minutes long. I was going to upload itin Sangeetveda1 channel, but now I won't to avoid duplication. Some of these recent uploads are second and third hand, not the originals!

This generation will be blessed if you release her Maru Bihag. I was waiting for Tai's Maru Bihag for a long long time and my excitement could not be contained when I saw this release. A studio quality recording of Tai's ragas would mean the universe to me.

Arun Ji, please do upload the complete Maru Bihag, by all means. It will not be a duplication as such, since the one on this channel is not the complete performance. I do have another recording of Maru Bihag by her, which is 59.35 minutes long and she sings Inayat Hussain Khan’s cheez in the chhota khayal.

@@008mindspace Dear Mr. Banerjee, I shall send and ask Sangeetveda1 to upload the original 45 min Maru Bihag. He is currently busy uploading some other recordings which are waiting in a queue. She has omitted to sing the Inayatkhan Chhota Khayal bandish in it. The 59:30 minute Maru Bihag is from the 1965 Mangalore concert. The recording quality of it is very poor, plus the harmonium is over-powering. She has omitted the Antara of the "Tadapat Raina Dina" bandish in it. I will not upload it because of the poor audio quality. Beware of pirated second and third hand copies of her pristine originals, particularly the older recordings! My regards and best wishes to you.

@@arundravid4352 I have already watched it twice. I do not know Marathi and most of the videos explaining such nuances of Tai are in Marathi. I was so glad to find an explanation in English from her senior most disciple. I really really appreciate the attempt wherein youth like myself get to know intricacies of Tai's singing, practices and philosophy. It was an honour to know such detailed explanation.

Gaurav Mishra this is from the 1979 house concert in MUMBAI which I have referred to in my Sngeetveda1 upload “Rarely heard Gaansaraswati Kishori Amonkar Part 2”.
