The storied South London festival GALA returned to Peckham Rye Park this past June for a sixth edition, featuring a standout lineup of international acts that spanned house, techno, disco and more.
There were few artists who impressed us as much as former Trouw resident and Amsterdam native Job Jobse, who delivered three hours of high energy club hits.
Listen back to his set filled with percussive trance, joyous vocal hooks, electrifying synth lines and a closer for the books, “JJ Tribute” by Asha.

Basement Jaxx was also fire back in the days. We were growing up in dance music wealth, it was everywhere, in the clubs, magazines, on MTV, on the radio, top 40. Underworld, Basement Jaxx, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Daft Punk, Tiesto, Faithless, Massive Attack, Fatboy Slim, Sasha, Moby, Aphex Twin and I must forget others. Dance music at its mainstream peak. A bit off topic because Job always brings back the memories you know ;)
Job Jobse always delivers! Amazing broad and original track selection. Like him even more nowadays, than in his Trouw period.

Underrated? He's definitely not underrated. Playing prime time slots everywhere and has been doing it for a while now. But extremely deserved. With every new festival season he brings an insanely good selection of tracks. Always one of the highlights if he's playing.

He is doing the rounds, yes but the crowd loves it, that is what counts. Make people happy on a day/night out plus dust off the old classics. Let´s see where he is going next ;)
That josh wink remix is fucking terrible. Hate remixes like that, where the buildup section is used as the main track. Feels like it goes nowhere
