Sounds great I am waiting to install mine...did you have to ding the spark plug tubes for clearance? I heard the 469's fit without needing to?

This goes well! Going to be swapping out my Newman ph1/2 piece of crap for a Catcam, 469 is probably what I will go with to. Looks quick!

I just installed a newman ph1/2, its about the same as this pull video. Love the driveability and power

Did you have to play with Timing marks ? For the bigger cam ? Also your running spring and Retainers? Thanks sounds nice

What catcam are you running 469 ,465 ? Car is amazing, I have had two r53. Great vid.

hey bud - just a few mods away from it going like mine ;) the phone holder is a pop socket mounted on the phone with a popsocket brand holder. they are ~14 dollars a piece on amazon. love it.

Your R53 seems to run strong and sounds really good! Are there any emissions issues with that cam? I have to pass emissions every other year to register my car.

really gonna depend where you live. where I live I can get away with an OBD check. as long as I have a cat and no check engine light, I pass.

@@TehAirsoftNewb I'm pretty sure that's how it is in my locale. As long as all monitors are set and no CEL, I'm good. I know some tunes turn off the rear O2's but then the monitor will not set and the car will not pass. Also, is that cam on your stock head?

bro ur car seem super fast. how is the maintenance of getting the catcam? wonder if there are any side effect?

yes - the cam has a pretty decent overlap so the idle is rough compared to OEM. more difficult to drive in stop and go traffic.

no damage to the engine. My engine is lowish miles (below 100k) with supporting mods. my car sees 7k rpm hitting limiter fairly regularly. stock valve springs, JUST the cam. obviously if you install it incorrectly there will be problems.

Did you have to do any adjustments with the spark plug housing getting in the way of the lifts on the can shaft? Or was it a straight install.

after driving my stock cam R53 I would say no. I like the down low torque too much of the stock cam.

Did you have to change anything else in the head for the cam?

nope - stock head just with a catcams 469 installed. took an hour and a half, i am super familiar with these vehicles.

@@rickynelson9647 with supporting mods, i would venture a guess around 215-220whp. not really sure, need to get the car on the dyno. who knows, maybe its only 180whp lol

Can this cam be simply dropped in or does it require a tune to the ECU. THNKS
