Yeah I would love to be able to tell you everything but cars like these come in already 'Built" and we don't know the internals. As for the turbo I cant get an answer hahaha
THats pretty sweet power for 98oct hey... Hahaha then i see the ending of 200kw extra on E85. Damn that jucie is really the nectar of the gods.

Glad you are enjoying it mate
Funny you said at the end the thing needed bushes. I was watching the road tune thinking fk that thing squirms around a lot needs poly subframe diff bushes and engine and trans mounts. Very Nice car either way
@DriftSquid
Жыл бұрын
Yeah Just needs a little love on the bushes. Maybe some new shocks etc. Will make it like a brand new car if you did all that to it.
I've tried Mickey thompson on the dyno they are to soft and you get some slip. Great video 📹 nice work 👍 👏

Yeah not ideal for Dyno work. Hence the hub dyno at the end

love the road tune vids. Any chance of going more into depth of dyno tuning or road tuning? like what you're looking for and actually trying to achieve data wise. What's a bad tune vs a good tune? Maybe a car that comes in with a shit tune and then Chea sorts it out.
@DriftSquid
Жыл бұрын
Hey mate, Its a hard one as everyone is different but pretty well Chea just wants the car to drive as nice as it possibly can. Like he says you can never perfect a tune. They cant even perfect a tune from factory. They have heapssss of people working on their cars as well. I cant speak for Chea but from what I think he is after is, Overall the car to simply drive really well and also make great useable power. Power is no good if you cant use it. I will try and get him to go into detail about it in a few weeks. Got a few things on at the min.

Is the head basically stock on it ? No head studs at all ? Interested to see what is a “safe” amount of power before you would do head studs or basic head work
@DriftSquid
Жыл бұрын
Built engine this one. As for the gasket and studs, im not sure myself. But I believe it may be coming back for more upgrades soon.

400whp or running -7's/-9's safe amount of power stock head bolts , upping to 500whp is when you can expect to have leaks.
I missed which turbo this was ? and how well did it come on boost ?
@DriftSquid
Жыл бұрын
Its a fair old donkey not going to lie. It needs some work to bring the turbo on sooner to make it more driveable. But this is still a pretty wild outcome. As for the turbo its a Borg Warner "no EFR" design. Big comp wheel. Maybe 69mm. I cant get an answer sorry.

Gees Big difference on e85

Remember pump 98 you are limited to about 22-23psi boost before starting to knock. E85 you can rum much more boost and more timing.
@DriftSquid
Жыл бұрын
Yeah boost and E85 make a massive difference.
The tune on the dyno does not sound perfekt. You can hear it doing waves. Is that the mic or the tune?
