I need help on a IGCSE past paper question, where we have two graphs representing loss of mass and we have a plate of zinc being dipped in a iodine aqueous solution and question asks which is excess zinc or iodine. Please help

for the first graph, shouldn't the y-axis be the moles instead of the volume of gas produced?

Why is the initial rate solely depends on the concentration instead of the volume+concentration? Particles within 50cm3 2% acid should have a greater chance of colliding to metals than those within 100cm3 2% acid, shouldn't it? Because the space is smaller but the no. of particles remains the same.

its assuming that the volume is in excess i guess
