Roga just radiates alpha energy. you can tell he has a stoic demeanor the whole time and eats first and doesn't fraternize with the other rikishi

I love their discipline and patience for such a bunch of youngsters to cope hard sumo life. The oyakata treat them like a father figure rather than a coach.
Its good Roga was promoted again, hopefully he can start again like he did last Basho. The top of Makushita is stacked but hopefully Nabatame can pull out another solid kachi koshi, I hope his wish of Juryo this year comes true. If Maikeru and Kyoda can stay up and Denuma, Kitakiyama and Nobehara all rebound then the stable will have a good amount of 3rd tier wrestlers and next breakthrough will only be a matter of time.

Does anyone know why Kuwae seems to have such severe cuts on the side of his face all the time? Also I am greatly looking forward to Tech Japanology's coverage of the upcoming matches!

It’s on his right side of the face. Probably dues to the clashes during tachiai and butsukarigeiko.

@@justaskingwhy I'm guessing probably an old cut that couldn't heal because of the regular tachiais. To be honest, Futagoyama stable knows that being so popular now also means they are constantly being watched. I doubt anyone would be silly enough to commit any violence acts. Especially not in the current climate with Hokuseiho getting the boot.
