As other people have said, hurting animals is one of the triad of serial killing and is definitely on the road to psychopathy or sociopathy. She should definitely run because he’s on his way to becoming a murderer if he keeps at this. Also, he is likely to be psychopathic or sociopathic so he is likely going to be abusive.

My parents had to drop me off at my sisters once with hardly any warning when I was a teenager but our dad had terminal cancer and had to go to the ER for an unknown amount of time and it was flu season so my mom didn’t want me sitting in there unless absolutely necessary. I had to stay with her for a few days in her room but she at least knew why and our parents were still communicating with us.

So, in one of the older books about domestic abuse, there was a break down of a similar story to the last one. This woman comes in to the therapist and tells her how her husband's anger scares her some times and how he'll break things and then have HER clean it up. But he'll always come back later and "apologize and make it up to her." I'll never forget the therapist's response, which was to ask what he would destroy. And when she said it was only her things, the therapist explained that is a CLASSIC domestic abuse tactic. They PURPOSELY destroy something dear to you, make YOU clean it up, and apologize later. If they have enough control to choose what to destroy, they have enough control not to destroy ANYTHING.

Killing animals is one of the signs of a serial killer.

Someone I barely knew had posted my (professional) headshot to a NSFW redhead subreddit in high school. It was horrifying, and I had to go to all of these websites that had re-uploaded it. People also drew pictures of me after I graduated and posted them online and said it was a merida-inspired drawing, but privately told me it was a commission for a drawing of me. It was unsettling.

I know someone who's mom did this during a divorce to spite the dad, she didn't consider how it would affect the kids. Needless to say her kids disowned her. OP needs to run far away. Lack of empathy for lesser creatures is classic psycho/sociopath.

@Gi Gi He never said he didn't kill the dog, he said that the guy didn't hurt the dog. The story only makes sense if the guy didn't really like the dog in the first place, just acted like he did. Otherwise he's a complete psycho. Still a terrible thing to do. As for the credibility of the whole story, did the vet even check if he owned the dog before they put it down? Can someone just grab a random dog, walk to a vet and pay them to put the dog down?

You can euthanise a pet legally for any reason including revenge. This shattered my heart, I'm a dog person deeply. That guy needs to grow the hell up. He punished a dog that did nothing wrong, the dog was family. He was way out of line by doing this. I wouldn't ever do that to my dog. He's my friend like my last one that I've had for 10 years. He was euthanized because he was dying in front of me, not sure what caused it. Guy with Red Ants - he needs to report girlfriend to authorities - since she has lived with him for a year she should be aware of ants dangers - this is not just personal, she created a public health risk [other tenants] and needs to be held responsible. Contact an attorney on how to proceed to get her evicted and held financially responsible for damage and repair.

If your so destroy something that you have used your money and effort it is toxic, exspecially if it contains living things like ants. It's not like she broke a plate in anger. And even if it didin't contain living beigns, it's same as if she had destroyed art he had made years or car that he had restored. That woman is sick. The man that killed the dog is the same, it doesen't matter that it was in previous relationship, if he can told it almost with pride, he haven't learn anything.

That girlfriend in the last story... deliberately went with destroying most of a contained colony of Red Fire Ants... which will sting whatever they get ahold of... and likely will be pissed because of it... simply because she was mad at her boyfriend over something the ants weren't involved or responsible for... in a house during the quarantine. Callous and stupid is what I'd call that girlfriend. Killing a dog (or any pet for that matter) is still a horrid thing to do, but *Fire ANTS* that numerous in a colony tended to with a lot of care over two years? Welp, a breakup over a fight of hers would be the least of her worries. What she created was disaster dominoes waiting to happen.

regarding the story of the dog being euthanized, I personally would break up with him just because of the fact that he clearly felt proud of what he had done and showed no remorse. That tells me that he could very possibly do it again

Having just recently lost my dog after he was diagnosed with cancer, hearing the story about that guy euthanizing a HEALTHY DOG because of his ex just...breaks my heart.

Honestly if someone kills a animal like a dog or cat they have a problem. Imagine getting randomly killed or tortured out of nowhere. Some people are so weak that they have to kill a helpless animal.

It’s kinda the same thing with poachers, and many of the poached animals are endangered or threatened. They’re killed for sport or just a single part of the animal, like the ivories or skulls. The rest of the animal is wasted. Not only is this illegal, but it is inhumane.

The thing with poachers is that a lot of the people who kill the animals are just really poor and care more about feeding their family than some rhino. The people in charge of the "operation" and those who buy the stuff are the real assholes.

A petty, superstitious bullshitry of a something but its still something. -Grabbing a gun and then just shooting a dog just because (haven't watched the vid yet)- *Ahem* Taking a dog to the vet to be killed just because has no "something" in it. They did it because they're mentally fucked. Who would harm an animal? *E:* Edited a part of my comment because the Thumbnail made it look like he shot the dog when the reality was he took the poor dog to the vet to be killed there just because reasons. He was probably told that it was of his girlfriend and that she was ok with it or that it was an OC or even just a fantasy of what his ideal girl would look like. 1) For the college student who is the oldest and is now, housing all four younger siblings. You NEED to call Child Support! This is child abandonment and rSlash makes a good point. What if you were out doing your shopping or you and housemates were on vacation when your Mom dropped them off and nobody was home? Also, the fact that she deliberately dropped them off without ANY explanation and the fact that she is reading your text messages and getting your calls but is ignoring them and so are her friends. This indeed Child Abandonment! You need to call to file a report against her, get a lawyer and see about getting custody and/or if there is a family that can help take care of you siblings until you graduate and get a job to help take of care of them 2) For the woman who is living with the dog killer. RUN!!!! rSlash said it best, get the hell outta there! You said you terminated your lease to live with him, but if he has no problem doing that to a pet. What else is he capable of? That isn't something you do just b/c of a breakup!! And then have NO Sympathy? Get out of there! Go to a friend that you CAN trust and I don't mean the ones that brushed that off! I know a lot of us are still in Quartinee, but you or your landlord need to find a local pest control that deals with Fire Ants. *Four,* get yourself a lawyer pronto!!! The reason why is b/c like you said many exotic pets if they loose can and will be held accountable to the owner. This can be dumped right on you even though you didn't do anything! Also, I know I said earlier that it was a good thing that you contacted all the tenants. The lawyer is to make sure that if any of the ants get in their apartment they or girlfriend can't try to slander you for what your girlfriend did. *Five* that is not getting out of control. Getting out of control is breaking things, throwing things on the floor, or pulling shelves from the walls. This was deliberate, planned, and thought out. Especially, since it was just the ants and that one area, and the fact that she has been wearing shoes and gloves around the apartment clearly states that she was planning this! I'm sorry that I don't really have any helpful advice on these things, other than what rSlash and probably what a lot of people have already given. Stay safe, and here's hoping for the best for all of ya.

She should definitely tell the artist to put it down and explain that she didn't consent to it. This could end up really bad for the artist, if they genuinely think it was consensual. I'm an artist as well, and have heard stories of people offering to send the artist naked pictures of themselves as references, which I would never encourage, mainly because some commissioners are minors and unaware of any legal stuff.

As someone with bipolar disorder, I want to acknowledge that having a case of bipolar that isn't well-controlled by medication and/or therapy could definitely prevent someone from caring for their children effectively. The depressive episodes could lead a parent to not provide the care his/her children need (e.g. feeling too depressed to get out of bed and prepare food for a child). The irritable mania episodes could lead a parent to yell at his/her children for no reason. The euphoric mania episodes could lead a parent to put his/her children in danger by doing things like driving 100 miles per hour (that's 161 km / hr for the rest of the world) with a child in the car. Those of us with bipolar disorder aren't evil, it's just that our emotions don't work properly sometimes. Someone with bipolar can be a wonderful parent if he or she gets on to the right medication(s) and gets his/her symptoms under control. Unfortunately, the mother in this story either didn't have access to medical treatment or she didn't care enough about her children to get the help she needed.

Anyone who gives themselves permission to hurt or kill defenseless animals (and insects) or even just wreck stuff because they happen to be mad at the owner is not ready to be in a relationship

Animal abuse is a major indicator for sociopathy. People who abuse and kill animals often go on to abuse and kill people, given the opportunity. Get the hell out of there and call the police! And get a restraining order and take self-defence classes.

There is something truly horrifying and fucked up to destroy something that you KNOW means a lot to someone you're supposed to love and care about just because you've had a fight. I can't even imagine.

Edit note: I only specify “privately” because OP expressed concern over bringing attention to the drawing and I feel that’s the best way to avoid a “Streisand Affect”

The dog murder story reminded me of a story of mine. I tried to leave a bf because he was nuts. Always accused me of cheating. Would sit at the edge of town waiting for me to come in from work if I was 15 minutes or more late (very small towns. Pop 3k.) I was supposed to help him finish up cleaning a restaurant that was his second job (I never got any money for it), then go to (high) school, then my job and was expected to take a second job in the summer as well.... Plus so much other bs and abuse. I had enough one day and started trying to pack and leave. He took his snake out of its enclosure and put it on the bed, pulled out a pistol and aimed it at it and told me "Then YOU are the one who killed shady (snake) because he won't have a cage!" I had mine and his snake in one enclosure. I begged to just let me take him but he kept the gun on him and kept saying that until I broke down. I was stuck with him for a few years before I could finally get away. He threatened himself with that f-ing gun multiple times after that too... I'm still so happy I managed to get away. I have no doubt that gun would have been turned on me eventually.

Whenever an abusive partner breaks something and claims they simply weren't in control of their emotions, but its only your things. They were in control, they're just abusive.

Dog murder wasn’t on the list. It wasn’t even a possibility. If he can do that to a creature who is defenseless against him, what would he do to a toddler? This guy is a serial killer in the making.

To the OP with the ant colony: One, I'm not gonna berate you about keeping a colony outside of where it should be found. If you're an ant keeper you've seen AntsCanada's vids about that and I'm not gonna reiterate. However, I agree that you should get that apartment fumigated IMMEDIATELY. Even for quarantine, there are things that can be done for that. Hotels aren't closed, and essential companies like pest control and fumigators are still available as they need to be to uphold a basic standard of living. On top of that, if your girlfriend KNOWINGLY set loose a colony of aggressive RIFA (Red Imported Fire Ants for those who don't know the term) then she should be gone. No idea what colony she'll target next, and no idea what the risk would be. As a fellow ant keeper, I share your pain on how much time goes into the care and crafting of the ants homes we tend, but this woman obviously doesnt care, and also doesnt care about any potential risks involved. EIther she doesnt know the risks (which would be a failure on both her AND your part for not making sure she's aware) or she's willfully ignorant of them, which is borderline criminal. It actually is an ecological CRIME to release non-native ant species across state borders in the US. A crime which is classified as a FELONY and caries a jail sentence! Hell the act of taking a fertile queen ant across state lines, no matter if it's a species native to that state, is subject to the same law. It doesnt even have to have a colony, just the goddamn queen! Long rant short: Ditch the bitch, fumigate the house, and don't keep non-native species. It's not worth the headache unless you work in a lab that studies ants.

I don't care how careful he was. He imported an illegal species into a country where it is illegal for a good ecological reason. That guy should pay for his crimes. People who keep RIFA are egoistic and think they are better than everybody who had an accident, or had something happen out of their power. They do not love nature as they sometimes profess, because they put it at risk. Just so they could enjoy dominion over a "dangerous" species. @@beheerowner it may not have been imported to his country if he lived in the US, but it WOULD have been propagating a non-native invasive species into a region where it was not previously established. If hes from an area like Maine I could see the ants not living the winter, but still, there's a damn good reason those laws on moving ant species between states are illegal.

My fiancée had a boyfriend some 20 years ago and they had a dog together. When they broke up he said he would keep the dog. She talked to him about a year later and he admitted that he drove the dog out to the deep desert and dumped him. It's unlikely the dog found his way to being rescued.

My dog was euthanized 4 months ago. We spent weeks monitoring her health- wondering if she was still enjoying life. Or if she was in too much pain. I have no words to describe how infuriated it makes me that someone would be so selfish. To euthanize their friend for petty revenge

I feel bad for the girl whose classmate had the adult art done.i would contact the artist and explain the situation to see if he could at least take it off their timeline (let's face it, not their fault, they weren't to know). The guy who got it commissioned though, I personally would confront him. The threat of legal action might scare him away. He sounds like a creep for getting it done.

If a guy is smiling about how he put down a dog of six years he had out of spite for his girlfriend for wanting nothing to do with him anymore, makes me think that she’s got the right idea in running for the hills. If someone is capable of doing something so spiteful to a living creature to make someone they “love” suffer and then feel no remorse about it, they’re probably not going to be all that opposed to harming you.

My brother in law shot his elderly dog in the head after it annoyed him, in front of my sister and their two toddlers. He’d had the dog since it was a puppy. My sister called me in hysterics and I told her to grab the kids and get out, she didn’t even know he had a gun. I told her to run while he was busy burying the dog. She didn’t. He abuses them. Shakes babies and toddlers, screams at them, hits them, she’s terrified to leave. Even the neighbors are scared and the police and CPS has been called on them numerous times but nothings come of it. If you see somebody do that to an animal. You RUN. If they’ll do that to an animal they supposedly care about, they’ll do it to you.

Killing a dog for literally NO reason should be illegal

Once dated a guy who confessed to me he had taken a girls cat to have it euthanized because she didn't want to date him anymore. I immediately got up and walked away. As I walked away I reminded him that I have a gun and know how to use it. Thank goodness I never heard from him again and nothing ever happened to my cat or dog. Any person who would do something like that is sick in the head. Walk away and never look back.

There are a few relationship stories I've seen on Reddit that I honest can't understand how the person managed to stay. This girl whose boyfriend killed a healthy dog in the past is one of them. If I heard something like this, I would never be able to trust the guy again, you have no idea what might happen to you when/if you decide to break up your relationship. Get out while there is still time and be thankful that he was honest about it so you could see the red flags for what they were before it was too late.

One major warning sign/red flag for a potential relationship is when the other person barely knows you, but is already at the stage where they relate to you as if you’ve been hardcore lovers for years. That usually means they’re in love with a fantasy of you, not the real you, and have unrealistically high, set in stone expectations of what their relationship with you will be. It isn’t healthy to have any relationship with said people, even friendships, and usually doesn’t end well. Another major warning sign/red flag is someone who will do anything for revenge against a failed relationship; including killing a beloved pet. These people can be very dangerous to get involved with, as they have a need for utter control and a need to get even for feeling like they’ve been wronged in a way that deliberately hurts the other person. Domestic abuse usually escalates from something small, where the abuser seems great at first with only a few warning signs, then drops the act later once you’ve fully committed; so don’t ignore those red flags. I’d also like to add that most murderers(domestic, against strangers, or otherwise), start with violence against animals and escalate to humans when animals don’t satisfy that urge anymore. Taking pleasure from hurting/killing animals, especially loved pets, is almost always a sign of a deeply rooted psychological and/or psychiatric issue.

The first story sounds like my life. Bipolar mother, complete failure as a mom, traumatic experiences in the foster care system. OP, if you have any other family I would see if they can help you out.

So, the artist straight up drew actual porn of a stranger without her consent? Pretty sure that's a crime. Destroy the lives of your "friend" and that artist, if possible.

That last one reminded me a little bit of Kratos. In the original trilogy; they guy nearly destroyed the entire human race in order to get revenge in his mad rage state. But then again he was under the influence of a wrath sin of the pandoras box. This woman is just a petty coward who wishes to others by destroying such exotic pets. Btw does Kratos killing hades' pet count as animal abuse ?
