I had the ruger pc9, and for 2-3 years loved it. It became my "trunk" gun, fun gun, and for a short time my home defense. At least until I practiced coming out of the back bedroom with it. In the end, although I now liked it, my g17 did as good or even better. Lighter, more compact, concealed better, and the AR became the long gun leaning near the bed with the glock in the night stand. As I get older, running off into the woods is not as good an idea it was. I tell my sons I'm staying in town and I'll thin the herd a little bit for them if it comes to that. Besides, I got more than I paid for it 4 years later, so I bought a 1911... and I'm in love again 😉🙃😆

I've mostly given up on my CMMG Banshee MkGs 9mm, as yesterday I bought Angstadt Arms MDP-9 Gen2, to replace the Banshee... It kept getting bolt-overrides when suppressed, & the 2 fixes I thought would help, did nothing to remedy the problem. So I'm officially replacing my personal PCC, to try out the MDP-9 Gen2 instead

Many that call pistol caliber carbines useless have never shot one. Everyone that shoots my TNW 9mm loves it and wants one. They are a versatile little rifle that can be used for small to medium game hunting at reasonable distances with proper ammo, self defense inside the home or around the ranch, training for larger weapon platforms at a reduced cost of ammo and just plain fun at the range or plinking. There are always those who just need to be negative about everything except for what they own and yes, it bugs me too. Choices are just that. If you don't care for product "X" don't buy it but also leave the guy/girl alone that does like it. The 30SC is the ultimate example of that. I've seen a whole lot of cartridges introduced since the 70's and no other cartridge gathered more vocal/printed hatred than the 30SC. It was like you needed to tell people that just because it existed nobody was going to come to their home and take away their prized 9mm away from them. I remember a time (70's-80's) when the 9mm was despised as useless by many because bullet technology had not yet improved to make it a great self-defense cartridge. It was said at that time you needed hi cap mags because of how many hits a person could absorb of the 9mm. Now things are very different and the 9mm is loaded with projectiles we couldn't have dreamed of way back then. Most of those that complained about the 9mm were shooting 45 ACP in a 1911or a revolver in 357 Mag. Where are those to cartridges now? Way back in line for popularity. They're still excellent choices but less popular and far more expensive than 9mm. That being said why not give the 30SC a break.

I'm with you... I'm all about options/variety, especially in this sport. 44mag falls into this category for me as I love it in my revolver and lever... such a versitle round for me where I live. Also, I will second joining The Highroad... a fantastic resource. Keep the R&Rs coming... always a fun/easy listen.

As I said in the chat, I absolutely love my 9mm Gen 2 SUB2K - MCARBO M-Series. (I even prefer Gen 2 over the Gen 3.) Liked your comment in the end when you say you want it just because it's fun, it's cool, I want to buy it to have to shoot just to enjoy it. That describes half the guns in my safe.

I absolutely love my PCC/Sub Guns👊 I started off with the Ruger PC Carbine that is like an AR with the m-lok rails. Then bought the Ruyger PC Charger, (compare the two and you'll know why🤫). Then I stepped up to the CMMG MK10 Banshee, 🙏thank God 10mil is coming down cause this thing eats ammo like a 5 year old eats M&M's...😱 But my God they are the funnest guns in the world to shoot.😁

A 38/357 lever gun has become on of my new hmm, what to do with this guns.

Interesting that this came out. I just finished putting together an AR40. Quite pleased with it. Pairs nicely with my G23.5. On the revolver / lever gun side of the equation I have a 20" 357 R92 to pair with my Pythons & King Cobras. I also have a 16" R92 in 44 mag to go with my Anaconda.
