Internally, I was hella like this as a little girl. Like so much it lasted from when I started kindergarten to like grade 9 or 10. I was also miserable, because I spent my whole life deciding what to hate, and constantly mentally shitting on other girls, basically for just being female. Its shocking how depressed I was in retrospect, when I really didnt have the tools to understand what that means. Its a little like being redpilled, but the women you hate are you and others, and also youre like 5.

It is. It's honestly the greatest enemy to feminine progression in my opinion... I used to be all punk and goth and shit. Which is fine. But in recent years I've been switching to more typically feminine clothes. I've received some shit from some of the other punky goth girls I know about "changing" and "turning basic". Like bitch... I'm happier than I ever have been in my life. I am xomfortable enough that I don't feel like I need to fit into this stereotypical archetype of what a goth or punk gorl is and should be. I still dress like that sometimes. Sometimes I wear skirts and heels. Sometimes I wear a button up man flannel and jeans. Sometimes I wear vintage clothes. Wanna know why? Cause I don't care. Who says I need one designated style? I wear what I want for that day. I wear what I like. These "other girls" are doing the same. Some girls like wearing a single color or style. And that's fine. Others like wearing all sorts of things. Also fine. Just wear what makes you happy and don't judge others based on that.

This is exactly why I transitioned to non-binary. It was so weird to see the kinds of stereotypes and I didn't want to be associated with this stuff. I had gender dysphoria but I never took much notice, but the "girls vs boys" memes and the "im not like other girls" made this dysphoria way, way worse.

I wear makeup, I like to dress nicely if I can, but some days I throw on a sweatshirt and sweatpants and call it a day, I shower every other day cause I noticed that apparently not being hygienic is cool. And I am going into medicine. I like to be the smart one in the room but also the most sociable and most outgoing. I really don't care if the whole "I'm not like other girls" applies to me because every day I try to be my pure self and only that. I just hope that others would do the same

I've always hated that "I'm not like other girls mentality". Whenever someone would compliment me by saying "I'm not like other girls/women", I shut that down like they have entered a no fly zone.
