你對台灣的了解，可能遠比你以為地少很多， 台灣人習以為慣的日常，也許正引領著世界的某些文化，卻不自知。珍珠奶茶是最顯著的例子，不管走到世界哪個國家，都可以看到飲料店賣著珍珠奶茶，但就連台灣人自己都不知道台灣就是珍珠奶茶的故鄉。
Your understanding of Taiwan perhaps may fall a little bit short of what you have believed. Elements of everyday Taiwanese life have been incorporated into various cultures around the world, but local folk are not aware. Bubble tea is the most notable example. It seems that whatever country around the globe you travel to, you’ll come across beverage shops selling this Taiwan treasure. In fact, even many Taiwanese aren’t aware that Taiwan is the bubble tea homeland.
為了突破台灣人盲點，也希望外國朋友更認識台灣，文總與臺灣吧合作策畫《認識台灣》動畫專案，從飲食文化與漢字流變及宗教信仰切入，呈現島國文化幾百年來因不同的政權移入，而產生了多元文化節理，用生動的語彙，將台灣人生活的日常，透過有趣的動畫播映，並用全英文發音，讓外國朋友可以直接透過影片，了解台灣豐富的文化滋養。
In order to break through the cultural blind spots of local Taiwanese and to help foreign friends get to know Taiwan better, The General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC) and Taiwan Bar have jointly designed the “Meet Charming Taiwan” animation project. The culinary culture, changing world of Chinese characters, and religious beliefs are utilized as entry points to showcase the island nation’s culture over hundreds of years as different political powers have entered the scene. A diversity of cultural nodes is created, and vivid vocabulary is used, to depict the everyday life of the people of Taiwan through attractive and interesting animation, with English spoken throughout. Foreign friends can attain more in-depth understanding of Taiwan’s rich and deep cultural soil directly through the videos.
