it won't happen again. Career suicide. When you make an album of this quality you want it to reach as many ears as possible. Roisin's comments effectively cancelled it. It shouldve been at the top of album of the year lists - it's that good!

Anticipating the pre-ordered cd to arrive with tomorrow morning's post...📮 Would normally hold off playing the uploaded album tracks on day of release until I'd had a chance to play the physical, to keep something back to make it a more special listen, but I had to have a play of this one especially after that high-pitched section midway through was used in one of your shorts promos and I ended up looping that constantly at the time.📀

The album (of the year) gives me the same emotional vibes of creativity and ingenuity as her former endeavors in "I am not a Doctor", which was one of the definitive albums of the 1990s imo. "Hit Parade" breaks docility and utility as well as conformity of the PC community of the snowflakes of today who melted by her honest thoughts to be respected (or ignored if those are too much for one of the most intolerant strata of modern society (gender-in-limbo phonies), who forget that people, artists in particular, could and should have a right to express their thought freely to the point of ignoring those "extra special" needs of the gender indefinite). A contemporary master of paradox, Róisín Murphy, has so eloquently yet obscurely expressed her metaphysical maturity on so many levels embedding the album into a post-modern saturnalia, cornucopia and phantasmagoria of boundless aesthetic excess. A true artist with a unique discourse I have been following for three decades has finally reached her artistic integrity. Writing from a war-torn Ukraine and listening to the album while the air raid sirens wailing is a tremendous experience, and I am powerless to push a stop button to descend in the shelter or basement, instead... keep on listening, ascending... Thank you, Róisín, for your autonomy, self-irony and vision all these years onward!
