R.I.P. My Beloved Friend Sal/Burt * Victoria's Tour and Reunion with Sal ** Part I

When Victoria showed up for her "Super Tour", an expensive, two day experience of shows, tours, discussions, Hydrillium fired dinners, and other customized CEI tour events, she brought a "friend" along as a surprise to me in the wake of some hard feelings between that friend and me that may not have been resolved. She may have thought the bad blood between us would vanish the moment we laid eyes on each other again. She may have hoped he might be welcomed back at Creative after a long hiatus, and many years since he has done the Fatz voice.
As well meaning as that is, it is a very dangerous to pull a reunion stunt on someone who is obligated to spend time with you, but may not wish to visit with the third party you're bringing along. You could get fireworks, where you were hoping for rainbows and butterflies.
Or you could just lose all the time you paid for to spend with me as Sal and I get caught up on everything we haven't gotten to talk about in so many years.
Fortunately, though, Sal and I had already started talking again and were already planning to get together when possible. That's probably why Sal went along with Victoria's "surprise".
So, basically, Victoria just found out what it was like to hang out with Sal and me back in the 80's for her customized CEI tour. I still tried to give Victoria a good tour for her money and some personal attention, but I think she learned, that when Sal and Aaron start tangenting, especially after not seeing each other for so long, you can forget about getting in a word edgewise.
I would be interested in hearing from you all as to whether you want to see more of this..There is plenty to share, and I definitely consider it "Behind The Scenes".

A sad day. Fatz was always my favourite, not just because of Burt's resonant voice, but also his wry and laidback comedic timing. He was made for that center stage spot, man. Rest in peace.

I could listen to Sal and Aaron talk about old times all day. I’m very saddened to hear about Burt’s passing. He was an integral part of the Rockafire’s sound and charm. He’ll be dearly missed.
Truly some of the most absolutely devastating news to open my phone up to. I was so heartbroken to hear of his passing. The soul he gave your characters that he voiced was just unmatched, and I know he’s up there jamming out in heaven. I never met him but I'm sure he was a great guy. He definitely left his mark on the world with his talent and humor!
So sorry for your loss Aaron, this was so devastating to hear, about Burt, he was loved very much. He brung Fatz to life with his singing, personality, and music.
Rest in peace, Burt Wilson. His work will always be remembered and appreciated. He gave Fatz such personality and charisma with each show he did.

I have never seen the Rockafire Explosion "in person" as it were but through KZread I got to experience at least a taste of what you, Aaron, Shalisa, Rick and Duke achieved with these characters over the years when I found out about The Rockafire Explosion via the comment sections on some "Animatronic Malfunction" videos. You were a talented man bringing Fats to life and creating the Moonrockers. To your loved ones and friends including your Rockafire band mates, I am so sorry for your loss. Once again, rest in peace, Burt.

I was listening to sixteen tons, my girl, and on the road again yesterday and it is tough to know that we lost Burt aka Fatz Geronimo 😔 I want to wish him some good rest and sending much condolences to those who know him ot have gotten the chance to meet him as well as his family. Aaron wishing you better days ahead especially with the new year rolling around the corner. Also I can imagine fatz hitchhiking and telling people his stories about showbiz pizza. Also was not expecting rick to be the censor of the group so i learned something new today. Lastly watching this video bought lots of feelings however my day got a bit brighter seeing this uploaded.

It truly is quite a shame. I always had a soft spot for Fatz; not just for Burt's charming contribution to the character through music, but for his overflowing presence of his personality that almost commands your attention through the vessel of the animatronic monkey. My condolences to his family and you.

I remember watching this when it came out. So happy you and Sal were on good terms again. It was great hearing his stories and hearing y’all talk about the past. He will be missed even by those who didn’t personally know him.

Throughout the last year I rediscovered the Rockafire Explosion after seeing them in a video years ago and fell in love with them, and Fats is my favourite character. I loved the character so much I was hoping to buy one someday when it comes on eBay or wherever, and really wanted to meet the man behind the voice. When I heard of the news yesterday I was devastated, realising that not only had the man that gave the character that I loved a voice but also realising that I would never have the chance to meet him. Rest in peace Burt, I hope your happy wherever you went.

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like he was a great employee and friend. It’s times like this When you reflect on friends and family you have lost and wish you had more time with them. People that you think would go on forever don’t. That is why we should be kind to each other and the people that we hold deer take some extra time with them because you never know when it may be your last.

Looking at this from 5yrs ago now has new meaning for me, at the time it was supposed to have been a quick hi and bye from Burt then on with my tour, had no idea it would turn into a 2 day event. Im thankful and blessed to have been given more than I asked for and so much time with you both. Burt will always be one of the best friends I've ever had in my life, along with you Aaron and some of the other cast members, you all have been such a part of our lives for over 40 yrs, we will never forget you Burt Fatz Wilson. ❤️❤❤❤

It’s really sad, because this could be the beginning of the end of the rocket fire explosion, because the voice actors are dying. The people Which grew up with it is only shrinking and lots of the old stuff from creative engineering, surely, but slowly Decaying away New generations aren’t going to understand is the appeal of animatronic shows it’s upsetting we don’t want to die 😭😭😭😭😭

Aaron, I’m sorry for your loss of burt. I too am devastated to hear that burt passed away. Hope you and all the other Rockafire voice actors are doing ok. I was listening to the Rockafire explosion showtape constantly singing with fatz. Even tho I wasn’t alive in the showbiz pizza era, I love the Rockafire explosion and I wish showbiz was still around. The Rockafire explosion is not from my time, and way before 2003, but I love the Rockafire explosion as a newer gen fan.

R.I.P. Burt, Fatz was one of my favorite things about the Rock-Afire Explosion when I was 8 years old and for his contribution he will remain a legend to me even now as a 42 year old adult. Also to Aaron’s credit because of Fatz and Billy Bob the Rock-Afire Explosion WAS the first band I ever got into and it was their versions of songs that I heard first. You can call it nostalgia but I will always prefer The Rock-Afire covers more than the actual songs 😁.

Hey Aaron. This is Lia. Let's move on from the bad blood in the past. I heard of Burt passing yesterday and immediately thought of you. For whatever happened between you two, he was always someone important to you. I can't imagine the pain you must be feeling. I didn't have the chance to get to know him personally. But no matter what name he took Sal, Bubba, Burt; he always stayed his true self. I'm devastated he died, but apparently his health was declining recently so i hope this was for the better. My condolences to you, the rest of the Rockafire Voice Cast and his family! May he rest in peace. God bless his soul!

I never said that. Mandella Effect. I said I had lost Sal, referring to our long, apparently permanent breakup, but my love for him prevented me from talking about our fight. Sorry you misunderstood or didn't see that we reconciled in 2019, and that he was very visibly active on the entertainment scene, but just not with me for over a decade.
