If their door opens outwards put it in a lightly topped coffee tin or open container but let it stew in water in the sun for a bit. Keep a lid on it for yourself of course. Put any extra you find in. Put it in front of the outward door without the lid. Its easy to ignore a box of poop but that liquid will smell for weeks to months. They won't forget then.

So just going to add this tidbit. May have been mentioned in previous videos covering store waste product. The waste is due to dating products by "best by/begore dates" so the employees have to throw them out. But there are now, at least in my store, options to donate certain sealed food products to food shelters and stuff. I'm not really sure how helpful it is, but it at least gives the food a second chance to go to someone in need.

Good. A friend just told me that when they worked at a local restaurant the manager sprayed the old food with cleaning chemicals to render in inedible JUST SO homeless people couldn't dig it out of the dumpster after the store was closed for a free meal! That sort of behavior should be punishable by public flogging! (The spraying, not being a desperate person who's abysmally down on their luck.) Same as putting in anti-homeless architecture. Flog the heartless bastards!

Local laws around here prohibit donating perishable goods, but canned and dry stuff is fine as long s it isn't tore/dented to badly. Local businesses also contaminate leftovers unsold at end of day to prevent dumpster divers from eating it, and suing the business when they get sick.

Who's liable if people get sick from old food if you donate expired food? The original store? The food bank/soup kitchen? My point is that you should donate fresh food, not expired garbage, because poor people are still PEOPLE. There's reasons the government has safety standards for food, it's to protect ALL of us including the people you want to give expired garbage you wouldn't personally eat. If you actually care then buy new stuff for the food bank/soup kitchen next time you shop, and YOU keep the expired stuff for yourself.

The Koi thing really just makes me mad. There was some guy who went around the town I used to live in, scaring pets away from their homes and stuff like that. He also went bomb fishing occasionally in a nearby lake, which was and still is illegal in most states of the U.S. I don't think those pets died, and I'm pretty sure most of the owners got their pets back at least. It pains me to think how impudent some people really are. I feel bad for the person with the Koi, it's really just sad how people act.

1:04 I can understand the absolute pain behind this image. Took a couple weeks to build the Legacy Edition AT-AT Walker. Sucked badly, as the legs were wobbly and I was constantly worried that I would accidentally knock it over or break it trying to put a piece on. Most of the armor plates were loosely attached too (connected by like, 2 rods that they're laid into) but I managed to finish it. One day I accidentally bumped the table it was on a little too hard and it fell over, breaking apart. Thankfully, all of the pieces were intact (the pieces themselves didnt break) but the absolute anguish I had while reconstructing it makes me never wish it upon my worst enemy

Yeah I had an aunt who tore her sister's house (my grandmother's house) apart looking for whatever she could swipe, wasn't that bad of a mess but it was super obvious that she'd tore stuff apart. This was before the age of like ring or arlo, so never did find out what all she grabbed (we do know she raided most of the places money had been kept)

For the last post and for the new dog owner there is a little tips from somebody who lived with many dogs: If you see the ribs, the dog need to eat more, if you don't feel the ribs, the dog need to eat less (or/and do more exercice). I'm not a professionnal so just in case, ask a professionnal if you have doubt. You'll never see ribs on the more fluffy dogs don't be silly ;-)

That's what I've been told by multiple vets. I had a dog who struggled with losing weight until I figured out my grandmother was feeding her after I already did every day. I had to explain to her what the vet told me. Boxers have a dramatic difference in circumference from their chest to their waist and grandma thought that meant she was wasting away.

Roads aren't exactly one and done infrastructure, they take pretty significant upkeep. Toll roads are toll roads not just because the government need to pay off the initial cost of building that one road, that one time, and that's all they need to do, toll roads are toll roads because putting a fee on the use of a road means you can obtain upkeep costs for that high-traffic road and often also nearby lower-traffic roads that might fall into disrepair otherwise.

14:40 I can actually explain this one. I work at target but the order pickup is almost identical. What likely happened is that there were 2 or more orders placed and picked up at the same time. Orders are not filled by one individual, there is an employee for each section of products (market, tech, home, etc.) this is split amongst even more employees when there are multiple orders. Not saying for sure that this is why there’s so many bags, but it’s very possible.

yeah i do this at a supermarket in australia, we only have 3 sections (frozen, cold, and the rest of the groceries) but they're all picked in separate trips, even if the same employee picked all three sections they would be separate from each other due to needing to be kept at appropriate temperatures. In addition to that there's strict rules about how we are allowed to pack the bags, e.g. produce must all be in a separate bag, bread and other fragile items, cleaning chemicals/personal hygiene products , raw meat etc must all be in their own bags to prevent cross contamination/damage. A lot of the time i'll have a tote that's one bag with a loaf of bread, one with some soda bottles and another with some bananas and a few bits of other produce but i can't really do anything about it because if any of those products damages something else before the customer gets it it's on me

This IS the reason. Like the tape would be placed in a GMD run, but in that GMD run, we’re picking for parts of EIGHT customer orders. If the tape in your order is the only thing in the GMD catagory, then it gets it’s own bag. Now, if a picker has, say, an AMBIENT, Produce Ambient, Chilled, or Frozen, which are usually the catagories that put a LOT in each tote (again, you’re picking for EIGHT customer orders in one run most of the time), then YES, the picker can and SHOULD try to use as little bags as possible. However, we are told to bag as we go, because supposedly it makes our runs faster and it’s so we can hop straight into the next run. I can personally say that this does NOT always work, bagging as I go slows me down a LOT. Rearranging everything in a tote every time add something just to make everything fit and NOT get crushed, and wasting bags… nooooopenopenope. Bag at the end of the run, bag CORRECTLY (boxes for walls, cans on the bottom, breads bagged with breads only or super light things like gravy packets, DON’T bag things with built in handles, … yeah, cashier, trainer, and Courtesy desk at an actual grocery store for 15 years prior to Wally World. ^^).

The youtube thing was fixed, by my recollection it wasn't a bot flag it was because he was underage, but his mother stepped in and said she was managing the account, and there was enough attention that I guess a live youtube employee fixed it, no idea how easy it is to actually get that kind of attention otherwise. I suspect most oddities on youtube are actually automated responses or features getting a touch glitchy but the sheer number of users means it's next to impossible to get a live rep to work on anything unless you're a big name channel, or you get a lot of attention on say their twitter support account.

Hey y'all. If you *CAN'T* feel your dog's ribs, they are extremely obese. Why dog's and cats all across the US are getting increasingly fat isn't really a mystery (looking at you, fat owners), but this is just straight up misinformation. In most dog breeds, you should be able to easily palpate all of the ribs beneath a layer of muscle and fat, and from a stacked position you should be able to see a tuck behind the ribs and see the last two ribs slightly unless they are extremely muscular in their torso from work.

I had a package dumped in the back of my truck. It was a collectors edition book and it was going to rain that night. I was lucky to check there when I was leaving because I knew it had been delivered and my house isn't the target of package thieves

5:15 this is common practice for most companies, typically cheaper to send a band new one. They ask for proof of destruction to avoid getting scammed for free ones. Its a waste but that's logistics for you.

The one place where air-travel services should be more strict. Just fine people who have no sense of personal space. I would feel better if they were just thrown of the plane at the nearest airport and had to pay for every rescheduled flight plan, but that isn't really realistic.

For the last one, I once saw a car drive past my house, slow down (did NOT even stop!) and saw something get tossed out the window and into a bush before they sped up and took off. Mom went out to see what it was and it was a tiny kitten. It was terrified and skinny. After we calmed it down, Mom took it to the local no kill animal shelter. Hopefully it has a much better home now.

the walls being broken makes me think he was ripping copper out of the grandmas walls...
