r/Entitledparents Insane Karen Starts a Fight at a Theme Park!

r/Entitledparents Little Miss Karen and her kids are at a theme park expecting to go down a water slide. The Karen brings up the wrong type of tube, so the ride attendant tells her to wait while she radios a manager to bring up the right tube for her. Does the Karen wait? Of course not! She's a Karen, after all. She and her kids start spitting at the attendants, destroying the ride, and absolutely freaking out. If you like this content, subscribe for more daily Reddit videos!

"The customer is always right" is precisely why we have so many entitled Karen's in the States. It's evolved from simply workers hearing out customers and trying to fix mistakes with in reason, to sycophant managers making employees start following more unreasonable demands in the hopes that it will net more repeat customers without thought of their quality of custom, to now people screaming and breaking the law (assault, destruction of property, chemical warfare if you count spitting/coughing on people during the pandemic). The more accommodating businesses got to the point of excess, the more entitled they got till they realized "if I make a scene, I will either get my way or get free money (gift cards, comped food, coupons)" and started abusing that, which there kids picked up on and learned. I dealt with that abusive bs for 5 long years at a coffee shop, that phrase needs to die in a fire.

My mom taught me how to cook when I was just 5 and we take pride in it! She taught me to how to make homemade enchiladas, bunya calda, menudo, real Italian pizza, hot tamales and calabacitas. She would have taken it as a personal insult if I didn't learn all those, thinking she failed me as a mother. I've actually told guests, "these are homemade family recipes. Turn your nose at these, you've not only insulted me, but generations of my own family." That guys parents obviously failed him. The worst is late at night, she'll randomly wake me up with her whining. We have a doggy door, so there's no need to be let out. I. Just give her scratches all over, that calms her down. The first thing I thought was "Is this some kind of a trap?" and "How am I supposed to answer without getting in trouble." I finally sheepishly answered "Yes. Why do you ask?" She told me that she was getting picked on by her co workers because she didn't know what is was and would I please tell her. I briefly thought about it and decided to tell her. I wrote down the number 69 then told her "This is a head and this is a head, any questions?" I'm so glad I don't have daughters because teaching my mom about sex was all I could handle.

Horse lady here. Barn politics are insane. When I was 11, my dad bought me a 3 year old barely broke mare, named Gem (she is 14 now, I finished her training and now she has won saddles for her current owner, very proud). When Gem was almost 4, we moved to a boarding facility because my aunt was planning to sell her farm, where I was keeping her. This place, oh god. I missed the red flags. They broke contract and kicked me out with only 5 days notice because "she isn't happy here and deserves to go somewhere better". No, Becky (her real name, crotchety old biotch) I called you out on improper handling of a STRANGLES OUTBREAK. Strangles is an infection in horses that, if left untreated, can and will essentially strangle a horse due to swelling in the neck and throat. It is VERY contagious. This lady also WENT THROUGH MY TACK and screamed at me because I had put my bit on my bridle with it turned the wrong way (it was an o-ring snaffle, I didn't realize it and had only ridden her once, she was acting out and I didn't know it was the bit). Instead of pulling me aside and telling me and showing me, again only a 12 year old, she decided to scream at me. This is the same lady that would "train" her 2 year old APHA gelding by kicking him repeatedly with spurs until he bled. I hated her, I hated her stable, and I'm glad we got kicked out. The last boarding facility I was at had ZERO drama, and it was so amazing. Everyone was so helpful, we would look out for each others horses, bring apples from home or buy big bags of treats for everyone to use, etc. One ladies horse died and a guy there painted a portrait of her mare as a surprise. If/when I buy my own horse, I definitely will consider boarding it there. TL;DR yes horse barn politics are fucking crazy. Keep your nose out of other people's business unless you think they REALLY need help. Don't approach them like an arsehole, though. Horses are already enough of a handful, I don't need Karen freaking out at me because I'm "yanking on his mouth!!" when really I'm just keeping light contact on the bit.

LOL the thing with Yugo, I relate. When my Mum comes into my room to play on the Xbox after dinner, Toby, our dog, comes in too. Even though he's only a 20lb terrier, little dude sprawls out like he's a Great Dane 🤣 I won't kick him off the bed, but what I will do is gently shift his butt to the side, so that he's no longer laying sideways or diagonally across the bed & I can also get comfy.

My husky did this. Now I had (still have) small bed. This dog would lay on the bed right by the pillow. I would get home from work, exhausted, and see this big little goof on my bed staring at me, wagging his tail. I respected that dog enough to know, he is allowed on anything I am, so I wasnt mad. I actually slept with the dog taking over all of my feet room, just to avoid him getting mad at me (dumb I know, but i love animals). Our bond was the strongest out of everyone else in the house. I miss him so much after I moved out. He was my source of happiness and it sucks to look at the floor and not see him waiting for me to pester me at any moment.

I do the same with my cat, rSlash, my cat Florence will be on my bed and I’ll just adjust around her. I did this with my elderly cat Cole when he was alive, he’d be right in the middle of my bed and I’d just adjust and find a space where I could. I’m mostly bedridden disabled but I wouldn’t dare move him, he was 17.5 when he passed and I didn’t wanna move him, the old mannie deserved the comfy bed! He’d quite often sit up, wait for me to get into bed, and either lie on my chest or my pillow so he was half on my head and half on the pillow as he loved being really close to me, if he couldn’t get comfy on my head then he’d sit on his pillow which was right next to my pillow, and sit as close to my face as possible. He learnt that I wouldn’t move him no matter where he laid on my bed, because he deserved to have somewhere comfy and he 100% knew I was his human/servant, so yeah, I totally understand lying on a tiny sliver of bed for your pet. Currently Florence is lying on her pillow on the other side of the bed so I actually have plenty room for once!

One summer was particularly busy at my work so I was working 5-6 days a week sometimes. She had asked me if I could babysit and I asked when. She asked me to babysit the next day and I told her I had to work. She did that quite a lot but she would 100% cancel her plans or take my cousin with her when I couldn't babysit. I used to babysit a lot for her when I had time off or days off so she got into the habit of going out every day and being gone for 4-5 hours. The kid got used to going with my mom all the time so it worked out in the end.

Its a bit of a different kettle of fish. IN Australia, to board somewhere with an indoor arena sits around $1200 a month. These contracts include use of facilities/ Sometimes facility use is an extra $400 a year. So there is an actual contract dictating you can use these facilities. these contracts usually don't have full documentation for what happens in the situation of someone coming in AFTER you, or market as first come, first serve. meaning, the first person in there can say "NO" to a second comer within reason. So, the situation is more like, "I signed a contract with you and paid $1600 to be here. I can be here." However, what Karen did is considered bad etiquette. That said, the owner also flexed their authority to get preferential treatment and was working their horse on borderline abusive temperatures, dependent on horse and workout intensity. Welcome to horsy politics.

Going off on the horse story, it is amazing how entitled most of the equine community can be and the allowances they expect others to give them. Where I live there are a few stables and paddocks. Also I went to a collage which was an agricultural and countryside management collage. One of their biggest and most popular departments is the equine. As expected, most of the equine students as well as some tutors were stuck up and very bitchy after I had to overhear their dramas when trying to study in what were supposed to be study areas. As for the paddocks I live near, I slowed right down for a horse on the road when out learning to drive with my dad and she shouted f'ing dickhead at me because she lost control of her horse as we passed at about 15 mph. There are some fields which has always had a public right of way and when an elderly farmer owned them, the fields was accessible for all dogs to avoid walking along the path alongside the main road. Now after someone bought one of the fields to put some stables on the land, they made the fields as inaccessible for dogs as much as possible and people have stopped using those fields to walk their dogs.

Driving past a horse should be 10kph. That's 6MPH. So you were going above double the recommended speed in Australia to go past horses. This is like a predator to a horse, and if you came from behind, even worse. That's not entitlement, that's criticizing unsafe practice. That is your fault in a country setting. As for fields. Dogs hurt horses. Often, accidents that KILL people occur with of leash dogs harassing horses. Alternatively, there are horses like mine, who will BITE a dog that approaches her. Or double barrel it. A horse can kill a dog with a single kick. Some horses will attack and trample the dog, especially a mare with a foal at foot. If those people legally own the land, they aren't entitled, they're making it safe for horses and dogs. It isn't being a dick to protect animals and humans. Would you let us bring dogs onto YOUR property because your yard is nice? Or snakes?

@@Blackdragon99omfg This is in the UK and is common practise and is on the theory to do 15 mph max here. Also they were on the other side of the road and I weren't driving up from behind. This was on a road which is a main route for quarry waggons and other hgv. About the doggo thing, dog nor horse won't be hurt when the dog is on a lead and under control. Yes there are people who are careless by letting their dogs run off lead, but the consideration can still go both ways when there's public access involved and I'm pretty sure there hasn't been any incidents when the people who own the stables were fixing the fencing around the field.

I can relate to the Yugo thing. When I lived with my dad, both of our dogs would sleep in my bed with me on the weekends. They were both small (a Papillion and a Yorkie), so they didn't take up much space. While our Papillion would typically sleep at the foot of my bed, our Yorkie would get comfortable in the middle of my bed, because she knew that when I moved her, that meant she gained free access to my lap. So I would have one dog at the foot of my bed, and this small pupper using my legs as her "self-heating" dog bed. She's spoiled rotten but a total sweetheart ❤

Literally, there are two water parks where I live(one attached to an amusement park). I swear, anytime someone gets the wrong tube or doesn't have one, the opperator literally just sends them back to the bottom to get it, then they have to wait in line again. Where is this mythical place that they will allow you to step aside, and they will bring you the right tube???

For the first story OP almost should've allowed her to go down, but at least have a few workers nearby who heard your argument with her. Then if she gets hurt it is her fault and her's alone. She didn't listen to the staff who wanted to keep her safe and she can pay the price. (And the reason for extra staff is to in case she tries to lie to get you fired, but if anything there should be cameras or at least eyes around the pool to see she was using the wrong tube for the ride)
