I hope and pray to one day be as good at weathering as you are. It always looks like it is well used or has been sitting outside for decades. Maybe one day….just maybe….I’ll be as good as you.

This is a timely video, in a way. My favorite Estonian KZreadr, Antspants, recently bought a non-running, beat-to-poop Soviet-era Kirovets heavy tractor. Comparing the two, your model against his real-life tractor, you really nailed the worn and weathered paints. Very well done, Sir.

That mismatched wheel really sells it for me. It’s a piece of the life history of the tractor beyond paint chipping and dirt. It tells me the tractor has worked hard and had to have bits and pieces replaced. Hoping for another outstanding diorama for the tractor to live in. Happy new year to you, Thomas.

Wieder ein fantastisches Modell! Nur zwei Anmerkungen: Dem Motor fehlt meiner Meinung nach die Öl/Diesel Verschmutzung. Dieses Motoren lecken überall und sind entsprechend Öl verschmiert. Und muss man beim bearbeiten von Resin eine Maske tragen? Wünsche ein gutes Jahr 2024.

I've always been impressed with the level of weathering done. Some modelers just have an eye for what looks just right depending on scale and distance viewed at. Beautiful job, very impressive ! You should think about putting out a book like AK does. It would be a great reference to have the workbench !

Reading the previous comment, I agree whole heartedly that you almost have the old paintwork perfect, I too watch Ants Pants but I also once worked on old and new farm machinery.
