[R&B Guitar Lesson] The Way by Jill Scott

Музыка

In this week’s R&B guitar lesson, I’m going to continue with my jam session video series. I’m going to go over Jill Scott’s The Way. It’s mainly a keyboard song, but I show you several things you can do on guitar. The song has so many nuances to it. It’s really important to focus on the dynamics when you play. I give you ideas on how to do that in this lesson. I also show you several embellishments you may use. This is a jam session favorite song.

Kerry2Smooth this particular tutorial helped me get out of a rut in my playing. It forced me to think creatively, and listen with my ear to what was going on versus me trying to copy what you were doing. It made me feel and play the feel of the music and just vibe. Great lesson. Thx 🙏🏾

Nice lesson but there’s one chord you call out and have tab is not correct the 3rd chord is not a Ebm7 it should be called a Bbm/A noticed it because it’s at the beginning of your lesson so it was hard to miss not trying to be a critic I’m just sayin with that said I’m out and and going practice have a good day

Too fast not teaching you just playing to hear yourself not to help people learn it’s too fast with no breakdown on what exactly you’re doing. It’s sad you nobody has told you this
