R 3.1 - Goose Lake Railway - Lakeview Branch - Part 1

Join us as we head to Southeastern Oregon on the first of a two part exploration of the history and current day operations of the Goose Lake Railway's Lakeview Branch. Filmed in the springs of 2021 and 2022 this is the next installment in our exploration of Oregon's surviving Railroads.
Special Thanks to Shane Starr of the NCO Historical Society.
You can find out about them on their website ncory.org
Also Thanks to Chris Beicher who ensures these films are top notch for your enjoyment.
Please note:
I have been made aware of my mistake at 4:36. The locomotive is a GP7u. I have know idea why I said SD as in the script it says GP. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Acknowledged track. The minimum classification. I love it! Slowest train travel I have ever watched.

I thoroughly enjoyed that my friend! Honestly I'm not usually one to watch something this long but I was so interested that it seemed to go by so fast and by the end I was left wanting more. I look forward to the next part!

the quality of these videos is astounding; when I saw your INPR joseph branch one I thought you would have 10k+ subs, hopefully the algorithm will finally catch on!

Thank you sir. Happy just to break 300 subscribers. There are more films in the works and a second series of films starting next year. Slowly building the content when I’m not running the rails.

Really appreciate that you take the time to lay out the history as the train makes it’s way down the line. Great video!

Your video was excellent! It inspires me to go check the location out myself, although it seems a drone is almost mandatory here to capture the vast emptiness of this remote line!

Why is the consist always changing? Sometimes you see two GP38-2's and other times you don't see them.
