Not really. His scandinavian accent was still there, albeit quite subtle and easy to miss. Still, for a foreigner, he really came very close to sounding British.

I definitely hear both accents somehow. Like he’s speaking British English, but still with a Swedish accent or something. It’s funny how that works sometimes. Like I always think Alexander Skarsgård has a southern US accent to his English, probably just from years on that vampire show lol.

Just know he wasn't as extreme as he seemed. I got to speak with him and know him a bit. He was actually pretty shy and learned to play parts and put on a persona. He created amazing music during his unfortunate too short of a journey. I truly wish he had the chance to continue on his grand endeavors & expand on all his brilliant ideas! I pray his sister will share some of his creations that most have not had a chance to hear. Eternal Hailz❣🤘

Quorthon himself: "Well, I don’t know what kinda piece shit music to be influenced by, cause, you know, I mean, the first 3 or 4 Bathory albums, you know, they’re not even listenable. I mean, we’re terrible musicians, we didn’t have a clue, uuhhm, our English was fucked up, still is probably. But I mean, listen to even the first couple Bathory albums, the first Slayer albums; the first album of Celtic Frost, and the first album of Bathory-it’s all crap." He was mostly right. Especially Celtic Frost's debut is some of the worst shit that was ever released in metal music. But the Return and Under the... have groundbreaking songs in them.

Had a studio he xould use til he had one at his home. Co-created lable to maximize profit, legal, flexability, etc. As most bands try to do; especially early on after learning of big lable horrors. So mystiques were created to make it all seem more professional. Worked varibles of the lables(s). Put out some other releases and signed some bands, more in later years. Basicly all they did financed itself, not that much was needed. Pressings, touring (non-live) then the video sufficed for that level for which he was comfortable. I would not go as far as saying he was fortunate and privileged. The family had a lot of issues and struggles. They worked hard for what they had. Adding some and fighting to keep it all going. There was no Castle as many believed to be. They lived modestly and played the game well and got to do what they loved. So fortunate in that sense. Yet any privlige felt was just part of the porsona played prior to their unfortunate early ends... Truly hope his sister releases more of his unheard (*for most) creations. There were more people in the band up until a certain point. Then that's when he started making the music himself. This interview was before that time where he made the music himself without an actual band with actual members.

He said that you have to do things in a way that they don't believe or take seriously that they raped& pillaged, but they actually did like a lot of other cultures &religions do. They are stories but even fictional stories are based on true elements. Even when you tell events that are fully truthful they are still stories, they just may not be done in a way that can generate a living like with what the entertainment industry does.
