Thanks so much Rich and I really appreciate you watching! ATB Greg
Old fishing lure for mystery item or toy airplane. Great finds!
It was fun to see what experimenting with different programs can do in terms of depth and treasure. Good show! Actually liked that kitchen knife quite a bit. Cleaned up great!
Hi Greg! Wow, you really went deep for some of these finds! I love how you're peeling back the layers of earth, like turning the pages of history. I am blessed to be able to enjoy this awesome hobby vicariously through you. Thanks, and have a great week. 🤗
Old relic hook 🪝 Enjoyed 👍
Another fantastic episode. A great variety of finds and I really enjoyed the history of Durkee!
It's always great to catch you when I can, Greg. Seems like the new coil is killing it..
Those were some deep targets! You had some cool finds and odd ones as well. Umi liked the history on the Durkee brand bottle cap. The vintage hair clip was lovely and congrats on your silver dime. 💖💯
Cool old stuff. We fill up the tailgate twice a week with plenty of big iron. Thanks for sharing!!!
You ever find a meteorite? That’s what got me in to metal detecting. I was watching meteorite me on tv lol
Outstanding hunt, I never get tired of the spikes and train pictures. But I really enjoyed your story about Durky, it's so true, you learn something new everyday. Thanks Greg....I see that you didn't forget your rabbits foot...lol
Awesome finds congratulations 💙
I always enjoy when you find train related items, then I get to see the awesome train pictures
Wow, Greg!!! All those railroad spikes and train photos made me smile ☺️ loved the Durkee history, too. Loved the whole episode 😊
Greg, two great digs and glad it was not hot for you. I am stumped on both mystery finds. Loved the railroad spikes and horseshoe. The Durke cap was very cool as well as the hair clip. Nice you were able to open it back up. You bound and determined to get that big chain out. The most piles of dirt I have ever seen. Persistence pays off 😀I would have had a panic attack if that snake came down, are they venomous in your state? Always enjoy your photos. Take care and keep having fun.👍👏😀
Looking out my window here in Michigan and it looks like a beautiful day to dig, just like what you have there. I have a logging ghost town I found on a old Army map. I hope some of your luck rubs off. Keep kicking the dirt, Greg. Great video.
That chain was cool And quite a large hole! Last year I dug a 6 pound copper float big nugget! I was really digging a big hole. I'm glad it finally moved/wiggled 12" down. Those long excavations really hurt, if it isn't something cool. Yours was cool! I liked the Durkee history lesson. How a bottle cap find, turns into such a cool history lesson! Good show always Greg! Rk.
Hey greg! I believe this week's mystery find is the top of an old door lock pull off of a vintage car

Another interesting video, thank you
Nice work Greg!!!! Looks like you’ve got that manticore dialed in!!
Great finds Greg
Cool hunt thanks!!!!!!
This was an amazing couple of days! Thanks for the digging deeper!
Great find
Nice finds with all those railroad spike😅😅the mistery thing is an old fishing luer I believe.
Your first mystery find may be a broken vase for one flower, a stem vase, cast in pot metal. The foot and the lip are broken.
Great video, Greg. I found one of the same Durkee salad dressing caps in northern California. Yours is in great condition! Thank you for the extensive info on Mr. Durkee and his company.
This is not really about this video but I do have a comment about the railroad spikes you find with no head. First I’m not saying that that’s not exactly what they are but unless you see definite signs of damage consider they may be part of a piece of farm equipment called a spike tooth harrow. Just an observation. I really enjoy watching your videos. I’m a photographer and editor so I appreciate the effort you put into making them. Happy digging!!

Thanks so much for watching my videos and very glad you enjoy them. I'm pretty confident that most of them are RR related as most of them have tell tale damage to them and even a RR spike's head can snap off pretty cleanly as well. I'm also quite often near a track when I'm out in these old towns. That being said, some might originate from a harrow. It would be hard to tell for sure but in this case when I have found three complete RR spikes, the odds would favor that the broken one recovered nearby would be a RR spike too.. ATB Greg
It's completely crooked... love the train pics.

Thanks very much for watching and glad you enjoyed the train pics! ATB Greg
Mystery find maybe clock weight?✌❤
The chain and hook may have been an early guy wire anchor for telegraph pole.
I'm just going g to say "Choo Choo!"
Nice video! You can always show pic of the gandy dancers that bend the spikes.
I think the mystery find is the business end of an old lawn dart.
I've found the Durkee bottles before, but they never had the cap. Now I know what they look like!
I think the mystery find might be part of the adjusting arm from a door closing mechanism if the holes in the end are threaded
Train photos! #1) Imagine the gawking! #2) the wood guy waving! #3) How was that track laid so that the train didn't sink! And it was a wharf, backing up to the steam boat? #4) Where do you suppose that trestle is located? There's an awesome trestle outside the town closest to the farmstead in North Dakota. (Look up the Highline Bridge!) #5) W-O-W! WHO/WHERE/HOW?!---Yard art! (And what a tale! I want to see the photo!)---I really enjoyed that Digging Deeper segment.
Closest I can come on your second mystery find is something to do with the Diamond Ice company.
I have found some really deep iron like that on a old farm I know you are exhausted ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️⚒️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗝️
Great historical finds
Great hunt Greg! I was beginning to think all I was going to see were railroad spikes. That hook and chain was really cool. How long did you take to dig it out? Also really enjoyed the background story on the Durkees Salad Dressing Co.
Clock weight for mystery find I believe
Me n my wife where coming home 1day n had a Hawk fly in front of our car n it had about a 6' black snake in it's talons that was perty cool then on another day had 1 fly next to the driver's side window then bank left into a feild
Mystery #2 looks like a watch-back to me, but couldn't find an example...
Hey Greg. Great episode! I have a mystery find myself that I have really struggled with. It's a tootsie toy, its a flat metal square approximately 1 inch by 1 inch with remnants of magenta paint on it. It has horizontal lines on it, that is it. I have scoured the web looking for another. If anyone knows, please help Me Im losing sleep over it! Just kiddin but seriously if anyone knows please post
@FindingAmerica

Thanks Brandon and you might want to search for Tootsie Toy trailers or flat bed semi trucks. Sounds like it might be one of those. ATB Greg
When are you going back with the backhoe to dig up the vehicle that the tow hook was attached to?
Mystery find might be a broken Handel off of a fire place poker or shovel
@HighToneRanger

That's what I thought.
Plum Bob on the mystery item?
@garysandburg8199

I think so too
Look up diamond baking salt, the mystery find might go to a vintage box
🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂😊👍
I wonder if that diamond has something to do with Diamond Matches?
The chrome item does look like a toy part, like a motorcycle exhaust pipe
Wish I had ur enthusiasm 😢 I got manticore not yet impressed which coil would u recommend thanks sir
Digging to China!!!
