Imagine if Quincy Wilson corrects his form with those arms. Not even Noah Lyles or Obea Moore was this fast in high school, and he's only a freshman with lots of growing to do.

That's how you run. Kid wanted it bad. His form is rough and he still managed to eat that track. I loved the way he kept breathing to get that oxygen up. Great run
Of my +60 years in track. I have seen many great young runners that fade away when they get older for different reasons. I hope there is someone watching over him. Now that you have a chance to make a living in track.

Quincy is my nephew and I can say without a doubt that he has a very grounded support system at home that keeps him humble.
Beyond track he's a smart well adjusted young man with a great head on his shoulders. The whole package my new favorite runner.

Spectacular run down. Quincy Wilson is a Freshman. That would put him at 14 to 15 yrs old max. WOW! This young man is going to be a force to be reckoned with. I can see him going to the Olympic trials for 2028 and competing in the American Nationals for contention into the World Championship within the next 2-3 years. I will mark his name. Go young man, GO!
I might have to pull up to local track meets Bullis participates in. That was phenomenal to watch!
This kid looks like a kid with grown man talent. Much respect.
That freshman is unbelievable. Wow.
Watching this give you chills
What's really being ignored is how he works his lungs. We were always taught to relax to save ATP. This kid is blowing hard as hell out of the gate. Amazing stamina! He's something special. As long as he's got some drive to him, Olympian easily

When you exhale hard, you create a vacuum in your lungs that enables them to draw air in better. We learned this in high school in America.

That boy has mastered circular breathing…. That’s the only way to explain him not being exhausted after the race I knew it would be a matter of time wouldn’t surprise me if he’s a musician
Crazy speed
As a freshman that’s insane🤯🤯
The Calabar last leg ran like he was the one who ran the first and second leg and now had to finish the last leg, Quincy knew what was up.
I'm more impressed that he ran that blazing time with pretty horrid form (wasting a lot of energy). The fact that he is only 15 adds to that amazing time. In the next few years after a good mechanics coach (ahem - michael johnson) gets ahold of him we could very well see a sub 43 second 400m. The raw talent this kid has is just next level stuff, honestly.
Let's hope that he hasn't peaked speed wise. (I hope and pray not. ) Some of us remember William Reed in the early 90's running these times as a Sophomore and never got better. I hope this young man sets all types of records.
DANNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!
U aint finish yet..... Proud of uuuu

I live in MD but I’m sure some other states like FL and TX have something to say about that. I’m from Houston and sister to immediate past president of Track Houston, the largest and most decorated T&F youth program in the U.S. They produce champions for HS, AAU and send their athletes to DI colleges for track scholarships nationwide, and many compete for US in the Olympics. More like MD is home to lacrosse.

@@tamarabrown1220 up until about a couple of years ago, we were #1 for NFL athletes (hometown), we have quite a few NBA top 5 draft picks in the last couple of years (hometown) and right now there are a number of top track athletes who are from Maryland (hometown). I don't say this in jest, but as a matter of fact. The 4x400 meter final at Penn had how many Maryland teams in it? Yeah Texas has good 100 meter runs, great for them. There are many more events in track & field than the 100m. Oh and Carroll Highschool (DC but a number of their athletes live in Maryland) has a 6'4 228lbs 100m runner who's time is one of the best in the nation period as a junior.
the penn relays track is so weird , the turns are so long so that just makes it even crazier

Ive been waiting for a freshman of this caliber in the 400 since William Reed (Central Highschool) Philadelphia Pa, in 1985/1986. As a 16yr old soph (45.17), as well as Obea Moore out of Muir, Pasadena.Could this guy be the one to finally dethrone Darrell Robinson's 44.69 out of Tacoma in 82'?? Idk, but this kid is off to a heck of a start!!! Since i ran in HS back in 85-89, this is the last of the legendary sprint records..Back then Derrick Florence out of Texas owned the 100 at (10.13), 200-Roy Martin at (20.13) broken by Noah Lyles, Robinson still a record (44.69), and the all time 4x400 of that legendary 85' Hawthorne team 3:07, still unbroken.I am truly blessed to have been involved in track when i was, and to see the new school doing their thing.Sometimes i wonder with the more advanced training methods, equipment, and much faster track surfaces what us old dawgs could have done.Oh well, I'll never know..🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿✌🏿✌🏿✌🏿✌🏿💯💯💯💯💯💯😢
Interesting to see how he breaths so heavily while not gasing out.
