This is very timely for me. I have been stalled on a gift quilt I am making & wanting something other than straight line stitching but not free motion anything. Plus you have an easy way to mark for the stitch lines. Thank you!

Great video, thank you. I like the serpentine stitch, I have it on my machine (Janome 8200) and have used it to quilt pot holders. It was very effective and looked nice. I haven’t thought of using it for a quilt. I’ll be making a house block quilt soon, I might try it. Blessings to you ❤

Interestingly enough I just finished quilting a quilt using the serpentine stitch on my Janome 9450 in straight lines and turned the quilt over and quilted a design on the back of the quilt in between the line. I wonder where I got that idea, oh from one of your teaching videos……❤❤

Thank you Laura. I have enjoyed your channel for years now. I have a question for you or your viewers. I was gifted with some finished quilted (fronts and backs) triangles. I am trying to find out how do I put triangles premade like this together. Thanks so much.

Laura, this is really a fun way to quilt . I love it so much I have a quilt waiting to be finished and I will use this technique. I noticed that you did not start in the center, is there a reason for that? Thank you for the great video.

A very timely video. I’m getting ready to quilt a wall hanging. With the Bernina walking foot we are limited to the 5.5 mm stitch width. Have you ever successfully quilted using the dual feed and a D foot so that you can have a 9 mm wide serpentine stitch? I just got a 9 mm machine because I want to quilt wider serpentines, but I’m afraid the fabric won’t feed evenly.
