Quilt-Along with Stevie: Free Motion on a Singer 2491 industrial lock stitch

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Stevie is making a quick cover for his new sergers and shows how you can use an Altoids tin lid as a "ruler" when doing free motion quilting. He uses his industrial Singer, so he has a nice high shank that allows him to move the "ruler" behind the foot, too. All the thread and needles used in this video were bought from www.ctsusa.com/banner_img/?cli...

Thanks for the video..I just discovered how to use a lid as a circle ruler by just tracing the section you need. I have a curiosity question, is the motor as quiet as it sounds in your video? I'm used to hearing the whirl of the motors when industrials are powered up. Frankly it is what has kept me on domestics. I could not see sewing with all the motor noise. Thanks in advance. Your machine sounds great..

Yes thats how quiet the motor is. It was swapped out and upgraded with a servo motor. Not the old loud clutch motors.
