The medical insurance system here in Japan as well as the benefits are amazing. As you know in India we would have to pay through our nose for most things and it is not as cheap especially for kids. A simple child’s visit if she is sick and needs check ups will cost almost 800-1500 per consultation with medication costing another 1-2k. They don’t differentiate medication like they do here. Here I can take my child to the doctor multiple times in a month and just pay a single fee of 500¥. I will get medication and consultation for that cost. Mind you this is a one time fee you pay once for that month.
