When I went to see the snowman with my dad, there were about ten of us in the theatre. They accidentally started playing blade runner 2049 instead and I didn't really mind, nor did about seven other people in the theatre, including my dad who actually made the decision to watch the snowman. Three of the people left to complain and they played the snowman. I'm pretty sure those three people were hated by the end of the movie.

ZacharyJTA What bothers me the most about the poster: look at the "ou" in the words "you" and "could. Or the "ve" in "have" and "saved". If you absolutrely have to base your poster on a couple of handwritten lines of text the least you could do is actually write the damn lines by hand! As a graphic designer I fucking haaate it when people just lazily slap text in a handwritten/eroded/grundge/etc. font down without any effort, not even trying to cover it up by modifying repeating letters so it isn't that obvious. I put more effort in the typography for my local pub's menu than this guy did for the poster of a multimillion dollar hollywood movie.

The thing is, I haven't seen the film and didn't skip the spoilers and I still feel like I didn't get spoiled, that's how unremarkable it is.....

The original book by Jo Nesbø was so much better. Was hyped to see a American adaptation of a Norwegian book but was disappointed instead.

Well... The name is not comical when pronounced in Norwegian. Its a book adaptation of a good Norwegian crime book, but even the author have distanced himself because of the disastrous generalisation which happens way to often to cover a wide audience in the Hollywood money-machine. If they dared to be as bold as the author was in the book, I believe it would have been very well received, but probably not appropriate for audiences of all age. A shame to see one of the greater crime stories of Norway go down the drain in such an unimpressive matter...

Hannah even stupider: the "Norwegian" road signs are in English. Don't even get me started on the horrible ADR they did for Val Kilmer (whose story is handled poorly). Kilmer has had serious health issues that have destroyed his voice, but the ADR is awful, and the way they cut away when he speaks is so obvious.

I heard this movie was based off of a 8 book series. Then they made the same mistake that the dark tower did. Which is trying to cram the first 5 books into one movie, which also means your going to miss a ton of important info due to these idiots trying to cram too many books into one movie.

HiIm Werer Gotcha, still; there has to be a lot of important things that happened in the book that explained more about the characters and the relationships between all them. I haven't read the books, ( heard they were pretty intresting, thinking about giving them a shot ) but I have to assume the reason the movie isn't as good, is that they left out a lot of info. Which means to understand, and possible like the movie, you have to read the books to fill in all the cracks left in the wake of the movie.

IT had the right fucking idea of splitting a massive book into 2 parts so they're not cramming bullshit in, why is that so hard for other movies to do? Are they in that much of a rush? The Dark Tower could have been fantastic if they took their time and developed multiple movies to fit into the book progression.

A friend of mine did artwork for a horror novel also called The Snowman, about a killer snowman. It was far creepier and ominous then that derpman.

This audio quality reminds me of 2014 YMS.

I can't describe how stoked people were at the opening day for this in Norway. Full seats with premium tickets, only to be met with dissapointment.

With regards to that last point about the dude not attempting to get away after falling in the frozen lake, cold shock is a reasonable explanation for that. There was a case where the initial plunge into freezing water caused a cardiac arrest.

that theatre picture brought back some sad memories for me. it was just as empty when i saw Swiss Army Man :( that movie didn't deserve an empty theatre on opening weekend. this one sounded like it did.

i find dougs real personality more annoying, that constant awkward laughing to himself, his brother does the same things. it's intolerable. it's like a caricature of an awkward nerd

I seriously thought the promo image was a quick doodle you did...oh my God, it's in the actual movie...this is more of a mes than I could have even imagined.

I just noticed that Macro Beltrami has composed music for quite a few movies that YMS has covered. The Snowman, World War Z, A Quiet Place, Amusement, etc.

Since this will get lost in the comments I gotta tell a secret. I like to mix mayonnaise and butter in a bowl sometimes the microwave it. It’s my mayo soup. So good.
