Quick Walk Through Hammond Castle in Gloucester, Massachusetts
In this quick video, we walk through Hammond Castle, built in the 1920s for wealthy inventor John Hammond in a wild mixture of Medieval European and Classical styles and incorporating actual 15th century structures from a French village, and ancient Roman grave markers.

He must have lived in England. We do love a mad eccentric inventor over here!

I have no doubt he spent a lot of time there at least.
By the way, that pipe organ was recorded on Kapp Records. Amazing sound and contains over 8,000 pipes. In case you're interested, you can listen to the album here on KZread. However, it was re-released under the title Richard Ellsasser Plays the Jay Hammond Organ. The selections are: Pomp and Circumstance March #1, Dance of the Siamese Children from the King and I, Great Gate At Kiev, Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah, The Phantom Regiment and Dance of the Comedians from The Battered Bride.

It's a shame, that people don't know how much of an inverntor sp he was. we live with his inventions all the time
Great video Keith, the opening arches were my favourite that and watching your camera’s dynamic range deal withe various light levels throughout the video.

Thanks Mike -- this one was just shot on the iPhone.
This seems so out-of-place in the northeastern U.S. Thanks for taking is along for the tour!

@@Keithdotson I respectfully disagree, yes it's quite unique yet unmistakably gothic revival in the structural detail and design. Finding churches with a similar design is not difficult
That. Was. Heaven.
No way that was built in 1926.Construction pictures?
