I do very similar at Hallcroft, but use a 12lb fluorocarbon leader twice the length of the rod 11''. This is to lay the line flat along the bottom and save the carp spooking off on a tight line. Great tip about the big feeder, thanks.
I use korda line sinkers to pin the line on the deck . Great info Michael

Great video, very interesting tactic, one of which as a pleasure angler i'll use. Of course, slack line let the fish bolt out of the swim before playing it, doh! Thanks, simple and obvious really but something i'd not realised.
Just a quick one. What type of pellets would you use for loose feed. I.e waggling, surface float fishing etc

No need he knows what he's doing. Don't need unhooking mats in matches, Micheal is an experienced angler and wouldn't hurt a fish! Don't worry about it
