Per capita income directly proportional to population.in Modi's era India's per capita income doubled from 86k to 172k.India is a democratic country of multi party system not like china which has only party who decides everything no one has the right to question so they gain wealth quickly please keep patience our per capita income will increase exceptionally.Jai Hind

Simple mathematics. Fifth largest GDP divided by world's largest population. One percent population contributes 70% of GDP. Rest 99% people contribute 30 % of GDP. Clearly the population that contributes less to the economy will be poor
