In these double melee games are you still prioritizing haste or is a mastery build more beneficial considering your not casting much?

Thank you very much for the guide Supa, this is by far the biggest problem we warlocks face, especially when we are not yet used to fakecasting or kiting. I've always played affliction, it's my favorite warlock spec, but unlike destro, it's too difficult to be able to kill someone while kiting. Since the only instant damage you have is Agony and Corruption, which deal about 10-15k per tick, the enemy can chase you freely without worrying about dying. With destro, although I don't like his gamestyle, I'm having much better results. It's a huge quality of life to be able to kite while dealing over 100k with instant damage. I wish affliction was as viable as destro, but ironically the only casters that work in WoW are those that don't have to cast.

I have better luck with Affliction due to the jinx talent. I don't even have to do anything, but kite and still do massive amounts of damage. Once they get tired of chasing me I unleash everything I need to cast and start doing painful damage.

Hey I love your strategy guides like this. Can you make more “basics of a class” guides? I’m interested in trying to learn caster pvp which requires learning new classes. All of the strategy in these videos makes sense but mechanically I just don’t know what buttons do what and what to use them for. Like I know there is a way to make chaos bolts cleave but I have no idea how or when to prioritize that (for example)

Man, I wish I had this level of focus and concentration when getting double-dicked by melee. It's so hard to focus when you're literally the only one taking damage in a lobby.

How’s destro looking for 10.2

2k scrub here (just returned to wow last played In bfa season 1). Literaly 95% of the time, the side with destro lock loses. Its kinda sad lol

There are no scrubs at 2k. You’re not getting past 1.4k without 4-5 pieces of conquest gear.

Appreciate the video, very helpful. However, wouldn't you agree that having to employ this kind of playstyle just to be viable feels incredibly awful? Like, you are basically saying the entire game all you focus on is running, losing, ccing, but not actually casting your abilities. Then, when you can finally cast, you have to fake or pad it with wall to get anything casted off. Why is this the state of the game? Clearly melee have too many gap closers and do too much damage with little to no thought. Yes, you are making it work with the strat you've outlined, but what a bummer...

I think it's moreso him being in solo shuffle. He also mentions that. They don't have comms to coordinate CC, defensives, etc.

Good point shuffle feels so bad sometimes as a caster when the game is mostly played by melee. This video is spot on how i win games as lock and destro but its not enjoyable like you said its like accepting to not play your class because of the game mode doesnt benefit you at all if you try too.

This was one of the biggest reasons why I quit playing lock and switched to Hunter/Ele Shammy. You actually get to play the game. I understand in this video he is talking about SS arenas and i hate doing arenas but even in any form of BGs (RBGs, BG Blitz, Epic etc) i kill more locks on any spec with my hunter than any other class in the game, im sure if i switched to Unholy DK or arms warrior i'd kill them even more. You get FIVE abilities as a hunter to prevent a lock's cast from going off unless they use a 3 MINUTE CD that you simply can just kite or run away from then come back-god forbit if you are a melee its even worse for the lock. I would make the argument that as a lock for every 1 min of pvp combat there is 15-25 seconds where you simply are not allowed to do anything, that issue just doesnt exist on other classes

This game play is now a thing because for 4-5 expansions melee has cried and flooded the forums on how they can't catch casters. Now it's other way around, casters crying with good reason about every melee class in the game having 1-2 more gap closers than they have gap creators. Sadly this is the state of the game. Blizz is catering to melee again and I don't see tww being any different either

been about 6 months since I last played... saw your video and thought id give my destro a try... first lobby straight in at 2.4k and I was so rusty it ruined the game for me and others in the lobby... left me not wanting to play again.

Melee clases have so much stuns jumps and interupts, they should nerf this.

Saying that destro is the most "well designed spec" is kinda reach tbh. I hate not having Rain of Fire to ramp up more stacks of Ritual because its just apparently not worth using in the current meta where its more worth putting points into things that enhance instant damage spells of the sorts, and the fact that we should only be able to use bolt after finally reaching 15 stacks of Ritual... really asinine. Bring back MoP destro.

If you have the time could you drop an in depth guide for Destro Lock? LIke stat priority, talents, etc. I know your channel is pretty busy but as someone looking to pick this up as a new main spec that could be hude. Either way I love your content in general! Keep up the great work!

Stat priority is actually very easy, just lookup the official Solo Shuffle leader board and buy the same gear. It’s just conquest pieces with a few reforged tier items and some craftables.

In your face to those who said why don't you show us how you survive vs 2 melee sitting on you xD

Old wow. Big crits and getting better gear was fun. Now getting gear sucks and zero satisfaction and upgrading zero satisfaction

any caster that doesnt need to cast for a majority of their damage isnt designed well imo

Bruh conflagration and shadowburn and incinerate procs don't do that much lol that's still not most of a destro locks damage. Just because that's the ONLY damage he was allowed to do doesn't mean it was "most" of his damage. Are you really whining about how a destro lock survived against a full melee dps lobby?

@@3fl1ppp im not whining, i just dont agree with it being a good design. i never said it was bad or broken, just don't think it's a good design for a caster and if it needs to be designed to use instant casts then it's not just the spec that isn't designed well & frankly id rather be in a double melee and kite rather than fighting a caster comp cuz they'll just range kick your chaos bolts anyways and you'll be stuck using instant casts regardless 🤣

@@Almostoogood my point had nothing to do with how much damage he did or didnt do 🤣 it's about how a caster that can't/doesnt need to cast to do their damage is a bad design, casting big meatballs has to be the most satisfying thing, but you will never do it unless ALL the stars and planets align, chaos bolt is supposed to be the huge selling point of the spec 🤣

im 2.075 cr 25.55 mmr and would have played this much worse than you. I tend to go for much more bolts than you, and that is seemingly a major flaw. thanks for the tips SUPA!
