I did what someone else suggested. Put the centerpiece flat on the floor. Put the square frame on top and trace the line. Then go to my miter saw and move it over until I lined them up

Beautiful. I'll use your design ideas for the structure. I just wish I had that beautiful smooth concrete floor. My old garage workshop is dirt and gravel, lol

Ask Wes about building a temporary wooden floor. If anyone can design it, it would be Wes and I’m sure it wouldn’t be that expensive!

I will adapt this for a photographers printer table. The printer makes up to 20 inch by X so it’s way larger and heavier. A table that will not wiggle and rock would be ideal. I just want a bottom that is like a sled so it can sit on carpet but be movable if needed.

@ MichaelGlennglennimages one option you might want to consider that is very inexpensive and effective is carpet sliders for furniture, works for me.

Not quite drawers underneath.. What about some simple 'roll-out' boxes? Either use a vacuum to clean them out or drill small (3/4) holes for sawdust to fall through (Just don't store small tools in the boxes!)

Great looking work table, Wes. I wouldn't get too crazy with the weight on the table though. The manufacturers/distributors of these cheap casters GREATLY over estimate the capacity.

Just starting the video… I see the riving knife is back. Is there a story to that?

...or rather an elephants skateboard. Very instructional though. That will hold way more than you will ever need.

Nice video. I have a stupid question. I am building a table that will be 36x48 when done. This will make the cross pieces shorter. How did you measure the length and angle of the cross piece? It wasn't explained how you got the 23.5 deg and length.

You can easily find the angle of that cross piece simply by marking it. Once you have the rectangular sections made, get them perfectly square and then clamp them to the table. Then lay the 2x4 cross piece on top at opposing corners. Now you'll be able to mark the cross piece on each side and draw a line and you have your angle. Even better, use an angle or bevel gauge and match it up with your miter saw and you'll be in business. Cut the cross piece about an 1/8" longer than what you need so you have a little play room to fine tune the fit.
