I was so close to buying the ophidian mojo 2 when I auditioned my speakers, I ended up with Neat Motive SX3s. The mojo sounded larger than the Neats with a massive soundstage, very impressive; but the Neats just pipped them. Ophidian are great

A friend of mine got a pair of these powered by a arcam alpha 10 and alpha 10p amps and he was blown away by how good they are and he said they on par with B&Ws 800 series

Price is very reasonable. I’ve bought a set of 3 way drive units. Cost about £2.5k.

Intresting for me to discover a brand i didn't know of. How would these compare to a Spendor D 7.2 or something in this spectrum??

I have all of them except the Voodoo. So Minimo 2, Mojo 2, Mambo 2 and Incanto. All of them are a lot of fun. I have the most problems with the Incanto. So far I haven't been able to get it to play properly. It can't be the electronics or the player. But what all Ophidian speakers need is a lot of space behind the speaker. If this is available, then things really take off.

Something reminiscent of the larger Allisons of yore going on at Ophidian.

Are they warm, bright, or neutral, and can they be placed need back wall without booming. I'm using cornwall IV, luxman 507z and lessloss echo's end original dac atm (no guess where I buy my gear, lol). Not sure about keeping cornwalls long term.

I heard these at the North West hifi show 2023. When I walked in they were belting out 'The Race,' by Yello, and I found them very unengaging and dry sounding. It was a CD, so maybe the player was a poor match. But anyway, last year I heard the Ophidian Voodoo speakers, and liked them. But they are more than twice the price of the Incanto.

Put GRANITE plinths under them….you’ be amazed! And raise the cables off the carpet.

Not heard these floorstanders. But own the Ophidian Bookshelf also highlighted by Phil here (Minimo 2). That speaker is quite fantastic. Depth and bass belighing it's tiny size. The treble is precise and clear as well. I have compared that to (for example), the Dynaudio Evoke 10s. Also a very good speaker. They match up tbh. As to if the bigger floorstanders work. I can't say, as not auditioned them. But Ophidian speakers do impress. Cheers.

@@seansrecords Thanks for looking. I have a small room and coming from my Kralk Audio TDB 6 speakers (can be seen on my other videos) the bass seemed too much. After a bit of experimentation moving them around and adding some foam bungs to the ports, I like them a lot.

Non biwirable is a dealbreaker for me. I’ve no idea why many speakers now are only monowirable, as there are definite advantages to biamping etc

But as I recall those Townshend speaker isolators cost an arm and several legs and many people have sprung floors. Part of the skill of designing bigger speakers is plinth and footer design to avoid excessive reflection from the the floor. This strikes me as a flaw and perhaps reflects a lack of experience with speakers which don't go on stands. At £6000 I wouldn't want to have to shell out £600 for isoacoustic feet or even more for Townshend bars. Also, the look is incredibly generic. Not feeling it for these, though perhaps I would be smitten after listening, which is, of course, what it's all about.
