Solar is very welcome but I would have preferred to see Multiband 6 over Bluetooth every time.

@@TimMSUK Agreed. Any smart phone with GPS has to synchronize time with the satellites for proper readings, so your cell phone is already most likely your most accurate time piece. With bluetooth you can sync with your phone, at anytime. You don't need to wait until 12am to 6am in the dead of night. The sync also doesn't take up to 5 to 10 minutes like multiband does. I have several multiband Citizens as well as a Multiband Casio and they are fantastic, but I live in South Florida at the extreme edge of reception from the Fort Collins CO clock. I actually purchased a time sync simulator app on my phone so I can sync my other watches with my iphone on demand if need be. Luckily that's not necessary with the Bluetooth watch.

Agreed. I do not want to use my phone to connect to my watch to tell the time. I'd just use my phone..

@@Usercehdbf you don’t have to connect with your phone to tell time. The sync feature will periodically connect to your phone and auto correct the watch. Just like multiband, only much quicker, and it doesn’t need to be done in the middle of the night. If it can’t sync, it keeps time like a normal quartz watch.

Positive display and bright high contrast hour and minute hands and hashes are a must

The positive display is a real game changer!

I appreciated the app interaction demo and paring as I was interested in how that worked. Golf Voice soft.

Just received mine today, GA-B2100 1A1, the all black version. Nice watch, works well with the app mentioned, connected with no issues, changed a few settings as a UK user. Happy so far, although I might need a longer strap, using the second from last strap hole at the moment. Cheers for the video.

I have noticed that newer model have the smaller dial to show the mode function rather than the day . Does the newer model had any option to show the day.

I have heard that it is a bit difficult to read on the all black model. I love the look but am a bit skeptical esp in the sunlight. Can you please share your experience?

Just ordered the Black/Grey positive LCD version. My other G-Shocks are LCD display only, so I was interested in getting an analogue display, but wouldn't buy a battery powered version. So this is the answer.

The navy blue is the one for me. It is one I can wear at work and get away with it. The yellow version is really cool for casual wear.

The new GA B2100 , is amazing but that Rubik's Cube collaboration of the G shock is the my favorite, I tried so hard to get a Rubik's Cube G shock but it's sold out everywhere

Great review. The all black and yellow version have a positive lcd display and therefore better legibility. I have placed a preorder for the yellow stunner and hopefully will get it soon 🤞🏼🍀🙏

I ordered the blue version and really did not like the negative display, could never read it. I like the face of the yellow version the best but I'm not a fan of the overall yellow. Wish they done more models with the positive display - looks like I might have to go for the black with positive display.

They are up for pre-order as of 3rd May. Managed to snag one with a 15% discount.

Casio said, it will be released on the 2nd of may. Why do they delay the release?

My ideal would be the easy readability of the yellow version but fitted into a case style similar to G-Shock GST B400 with the case dimensions GA-B2100. Keep the readability - but with more style Would like my cake and eat it - very tough watch - slimmer if possible - can also be worn to posh events

How much you spent on blue?

Any idea when the 40 year anniversary colour options would start showing up. As of now this model has 6 colors. Initial 5 and now added 1 more. I love the yellow but wife wouldn't agree.

I'm interested in buying this one Vs the one without the Bluetooth and solar options. My question is, if I don't want to use Bluetooth,can I manually choose the timezone? By watching your video I find it a nuisance to have the app open when I'm sync the new time! Also, where does the second time show? On the analog dial or the digital display? I see the rcvd tag on the second screen. Never seen that on a bluetooth watch before. It will tell you when it connects to the phone for a time update? On my Oceanus if I turn on bluetooth then multiband shuts off and vice versa. As much as bluetooth may be more accurate there is nothing like waking up in the morning and having your watch to set up to the correct time almost every day without a phone assist, if you are lucky enough to be in range. I probably would bite on this if it had multi-band as an option. I am lucky it works for me in NJ, but I found that one spot in my house that works like a charm.

It connects to your phone 4 times a day to sync the time, if it succeeds the rcvd tag is set.

It's not connecting with the app. Just got mine GA B-2100 today.

so they removed the day of the week display on this version in place of the mode display. Is there a way to tell which day it is?

Can we make the small lcd screen to show the day and date Like the older one with non Bluetooth version had a small dial to show the day, But on the newer one it is used to show mode functions.

The Ga-2100 is amazing watches, after wearing it for years now, i dont think i will upgrade to solar, for me the second screen is way to small for me, to take time and stuff like that, so i bought a GW-M5610 with solar, but i still love my GA2100 :)

Only thing missing for me is lume. I am a big EL and lume Fan. Other than that It could be "the perfect watch", affordable, accurate, feature rich, lightweight, beater . This is my next Daily. Iv been waiting for months for a new colour , I love the yellow, but my wife would let me wear it. my deadline is by the end of the year.

You need 20/20 vision to read the digital display but other than that cool watch. 5600 models still have my heart though

Completely agree! I know that the original GA2100 has the day on the left side where you now see ‘WT, Bluetooth etc’ - I was ready to buy this one with the Bluetooth connection but that is the only detail that I am so offput by that I may just go with the original instead.

@@Jack3dBrett It won’t. It will try to connect a couple of times per day. When unsuccessfull, it will quit and wait until the next scheduled connection attempt. It will not try to connect continuously because, Casio engineers are smart enough to foresee this. There is really no downside on the Bluetooth connection concept, it works unnoticeable and doesn’t waste energy.

No step tracker?

Have the GM2100 so wondering if I should wait for the GMB ! But the yellow is too tempting.

If these had just a daily step count on top, that would be excellent. No workouts etc. Just the step goal that would be set via app.

What is yoir wrist size?

The bluetooth functionality really seems like a waste of money. I don't get it. What's the benefit that would make it worth the hassle of connecting to a phone? (vs, say, just setting the time on the watch once every few months by looking at the time on your phone)

I own one of these in black with a positive display......really the bluetooth is gimmicky. I do enjoy the watch. Just the addition of solar charging would have been good enough.

Bluetooth solar casios are zero maintenance no fuss watches. Thats why I got the square with Bluetooth and solar I.e. the gwb5600bc-1b.

Casio=God Tier watches at a blue collar price.

So it has Bluetooth which is pretty much just used to set the time? What a load of hassle and waste of time, I can do that with the watch already!

@@NOSKIPPIN It is assuring to know you have the exact time on your wrist. When I am at work, ready to go home, it is good to know I won’t punch out too early, so at that moment I’m relying on my pinpoint accurate G-Shock. I am sure there are more situations where an accurate watch comes in handy.

@@NOSKIPPIN it is not only for that. You can adjust the alarms, world timer cities, hours etc on the phone. That may not seem like much but with this watch being analog and having a small screen, it helps a lot. The original regular version was a pain to adjust the hours. The fact that I don't have to adjust it when daylights saving time hits, is worth it alone imo.

I have this watch and start getting problem next day very disappointed 😞
